Layla P.O.V
"So what's up with you and Jordan?
Aaliyah asked as she packed up due to class being over
"Nothing" I shrugged
"Oh come spill it" she nudged
"I mean he's hot no doubt but we haven't really talked talked you know? If he asked me out I'd definitely say yes" I smiled
"Well good cause here he comes"
And she was right Jordan was coming into work he studio
"Hey" he greeted Alexis and I
"Hi" we both replied
"Uh I'm going to go put my stuff in your car I'll meet you there Jor" she smiled and left
"So What are you doing here?" I smiled
"Alexis asked if I could pick her up, our parents are having a dinner tonight"
"Oh that's nice"
"Yeah you should come" he smiled
"I would really but my moms in town and she should be on her way here any minute"
"That's cool, but I've been meaning to ask you something"
"Would-" he started to say until my mother interrupted him
"Wow this is lovely so spacious"
I groaned a little bit considering she just ruined  the moment
"Oh I'm sorry did I interrupt something?" She stated
I wanted to say yes now leave but instead I just said
"No, your good mom"
"Oh well who's this handsome man"
"Mom this is Jordan, Jordan this is my mother Emily"
"Nice to meet you Mrs.Johnson"
My mother cringed at Jordan saying Johnson that's my dad's last name
"Oh I'm sorry did I say something wrong? Jordan stated
"Uh no it's fine it's just Ms.Cornell" my mother smiled while shaking his hand
"It was lovely to met you but I should get going"
"Yeah you too"
And with that Jordan left
"Well he's handsome see if we had men like him in college you would've had siblings"
"Ew mom"
"I'm just saying" she shrugged
I laughed
"Alright well let's get this show on the road, let's see if you can keep up" my mother announced
"Oh please"
With that we turned on the music and began to dance

After staying in the studio for a little my mom and I decided to go out for dinner since this was her last night here and we decided to invite Bella since she is family turns out Bella's Mom was here too she was here on business and she was only staying for one day I guess her and Bella hung out earlier today so. Her and my mom went back to their hotel rooms to get dress while Bella and I got dressed at the dorm.   We all decided to just met at the restaurant, after texting our parents to see if they were ready we headed out. Once we arrived at the restaurant we greeted each other's parents and headed.
The waitress seated us in a booth and took our orders for our drinks and food
"So how are you Emily?" Bella asked
"I'm good but I'm even better now to be with you two" meaning Bella and I
"Aww that's sweet I've missed my two mothers so much"
They both smiled
Everything was going smoother until my Father and his girlfriend showed up
"Well Hello my lovely daughter" my father stated while coming up to our table
"The whole gang is here, Hello Emily, and hello Sarah" (Sarah is Bella's Mom)
Sarah didn't even greet him back she just took a sip of her wine.
"Hello Jonathan" my mother smiled
I don't know how she could stay so calm around him and his mistress
"As you all know this is Veronica my girlfriend" he gestured and pulled Veronica closer.
"Hello" she stated with a wave
I've met Veronica once my dad forced me to go out to dinner with Him, her and I He was hoping we'd "bond" but how do you bond with a women who your dad cheated with on your mother?
"Well hows school bunny?" My dad asked
"It's fine" I said bluntly
I felt my mom kick my leg she hated when I was rude to my father she would always say despite of what he did to her he was still my father.
"Listen I would love for you to come over to the condo we have down here, and maybe Veronica could cook us up a dinner and we could talk" my dad suggests
"Mhm I don't know I could be busy with school" I responded
My mother kicked me again
"But I'll see what I could do dad"I grunted through my teeth. 
"Alright well I'll call you Okay? We should get going it was nice seeing you all" he smiled and walked away with Veronica all on his arm.
"Wow.. that was something"
"Oh please the bitch obviously doesn't look better than you Emily" Sarah stated
Bella and I both giggled
"Oh come on Sarah I'm pretty sure she's lovely"
My mom didn't have any anger towards Veronica I guess my dad kept telling Veronica he was getting a divorce and it only put it off for a while cause I was in the picture. But I mean if a man was married and kept saying he'd leave his wife but always had a excuses chances  are that he isn't leaving but my mom saw Veronica as a victim just like she was. Being lied to and manipulated by my father.
"Mom does dad know your sick?"
"Sick how?" Bella interrupted
"I um have cancer Bell" my mom answered
It got quiet once again
"Are you taking treatment you'll be fine right?"
"I have been your mother has been very supportive, and I have faith so I do believe I'll be fine don't worry" my mother smiled
God I wanted to cry but I knew I had to keep faith she'll beat this
"And to answer your question no he doesn't.. I haven't been able to tell him"
"Well to change the subject to something lighter Jake and I are still together going strong" Bella smiled
"That's lovely you should've invited him to Dinner" Sarah stated
"He had work tonight but maybe we could come down for thanksgiving break and have a family dinner"
"Of course!" My Mom chimed in
"Well speaking of holidays and that nature Layla your birthday is next week" Sarah added
"Yeah nasty nineteen" Bella stated
"Uh no I'll probably just watch vampire diaries and eat popcorn
"Oh no your not Bella you should throw her a party" my mom said
"That would be AMAZ, I could ask Jake for some help considering his frat house is known for parties"
"I'm fine thanks for the offer"
I stated as I started to eat our waitress brought our food a little while ago
"Yeah And Maybe you can invite Jordan" my mother added
"You and Jordan? How cute!" Bella shouted in excitement
"Jordan? Jake frat brother" Sarah asked
"Yeah, my mom met him today while we were with Jake"
We continued to laugh and joke for the rest of the night
