Cartman sat there for a long moment, i could tell by the look on his face he was glad, tears still streaming down his face however this time his mouth curled into a small, relieved smile. I couldn't say much, my throat was dry and so i tried to sit up, grabbing the railing for support. I was weak, cold, and dizzy; i had no idea how long i had been passed out for, no idea what the time was now either. I at least knew i needed water to speak and luckily, on the bed stand, there sat a glass of water and a jug; i gestured out to reach for it and Cartman picked it up, handing it to me carefully then sitting back in his chair. I drank a sip of water and immediately felt a small amount better i drank more until i could speak again.

"Eric, I... What time is it?" I asked, I wanted to say something else but I (still) couldn't muster the courage. I looked around the room, it was a typical hospital room: a couple chairs; my bed; medical equipment and a sink. It was small and snug, perfect for two people to just talk in.

"It's 11:45, if you're wondering, everyone else went home a while ago." He said and looked at my, he wiped his eyes with his sleeves and sniffed quietly a couple times. I stared into his eyes for a moment, getting lost in the beauty of his single hazel, milky brown eye then staring at his dim, faded ocean blue eye. His eyes were so amazing to me, The way the two colours contrasted really made his face seem a lot less intimidating. His Heterochromia eyes stared back into my own.

"Why are you still here then?" I asked him, titling my head slightly. I wondered why he was, if everyone else left then I imagined he would too? Unless he was here to be rude about something but from his expression and reaction to me waking up seemed too sincere for him to fake it. I watched as he struggled to come up with an answer, opening his mouth then shutting it in a similar fashion to a goldfish. I chuckled quietly to myself about this and waited for his response.

"...Well Kahl I have to tell you something actually.." He began to say, he looked nervous and his eyes looked around the room, redirecting them from me. He seemed like he was struggling to say whatever it was and so I opened my mouth to talk however I was interrupted by the sound of a phone ringing, Eric reached into his pocket and gestured his finger in such a way that I knew to be quiet. He answered the phone and began talking to who ever was speaking on the other side.

"But I'm busy-" He answered the voice back in protest to something.

"This is important though. You're never home anyways so what does it matter." He rolled his eyes and I could tell whatever the conversation was about was agitating him.

"Fine, fine. Jesus Christ, I'm coming." Eric said as he hung up on whoever was on the other end. He shoved his phone in his pocket and looked at me, sighing as he stood up from the chair he was previously sat down in.

"I have to go home, my mom wants me home before midnight." He explained. I nodded and bit the inside of my cheek, I didn't want him to leave but he had no choice; He walked closer to me, leant down and gave me a hug before he walked out of the hospital room, waving goodbye. I waved back and sighed, what was Cartman going to say to me before he left? I came up with possibilities but none of them seemed logical.

I sighed as I began falling asleep again, even though I'd just woken up I felt even more tired than I ever had. My eyes drifted shut and I slept, there was nothing yet again. I just fell for what seemed like hours and hours.

_{ Hours later}_

I woke up from sleep, it was late in the afternoon when I opened my eyes, in the room was Heidi and Cartman, they appeared to be fighting over something but I hadn't been awake long enough to hear what but as soon as I opened my eyes they both stopped arguing and turned to me.
