(This is based off of 'How The Public Finds Out About Your Relationship' for Gaten)

Tonight are the Emmy's. You're going with your boyfriend, Gaten, and you're beyond excited, and a little nervous. This is your first red carpet, and not to mention, you and Gaten are going to announce your relationship to the public. You both knew interviewers and the paparazzi were going to ask about you two, so why not spill the tea then. Your friends came over and helped you do your hair and makeup.

You were scheduled to be picked up at 5:30 and get there by 6:30. The actual show didn't start until 8:00 pm, so that hour and 20 minutes or so were for the red carpet and interviews. Around 30 minutes after you finished getting ready, Gaten called you to tell you he they were here. The rest of the Stranger Things cast was in the car, (Finn, Noah, Caleb, Millie, Sadie) so it was somewhat packed, but not too packed for it to be uncomfortable. You sat next to Gaten and Millie. The car ride was fun, everyone was laughing and talking. Towards the end of the car ride, you began to feel a little nervous, but pushed your worries aside. Once yo uan dthe other cast members pulled up to the location of the awards and got out of the car, you started to worry. "What if they don't like me?" "What if they don't like us?" "What if I trip, or fall?" "What if I embarrass myself or Gaten?" "What if this, what if that?" Were just some of the thoughts that danced through my head. As if Gaten could read my mind, he gave my hand a reassuring squeeze, smiled at me and told me, "Y/n, Everything is going to be fine. If you're worried about what the public thinks about us, don't. It doesn't matter what they think. As long as we're happy, your happy we'll be alright. Also, how could they not like you? You are so sweet, kind, smart and beautiful. Literally the best girlfriend anyone could have." After he said that, all of my concerns floated away. I smiled at him and we walked to the red carpet, filled with bright flashes, cameras, microphones and other celebrities, with big smiles spread across both of our faces.
