A few days go by and in nearly all of my classes I have had to sit next to Rhys. Honestly though, it's not so bad. Yeah he's quiet but he does talk sometimes but it is only to me which is kinda strange, although I can't blame him seeing as every other person in this place is so eager to learn about drinking blood. It seems like Rhys isn't too interested either so we always just sit at the back of the class, me reading and Rhys sleeping. Quite often I see him out in the day time after classes which would explain why he gets really tired. I don't know why he does it and I don't think I should ask him why either.
As I'm reading my book, I notice Rhys asleep with his head resting on his folded arms on the desk. The teacher has given up on trying to wake him up at this point so he just leaves him be, he wakes up when class ends without me waking him up. I continue to read my book and before long, it's time to switch classes. I get up and pack my things into my bag, I look over at Rhys and notice that he is still asleep. Strange. He normally wakes up at this time, he still looks like he is in a deep sleep 'he must have been up really late' I thought to myself. I put my bag on my shoulder and gently tap his shoulder. He doesn't stir, I try again "Rhys, Rhys wake up we have to go to our next class" I say gently shaking his shoulder. Slowly he lifts his head and picks up his bag, Without saying anything he walks out of the classroom, leaving me standing at out desk. I walk out of the classroom following him, there must be something bothering him, he might just be tired but then again I might just be overthinking the situation.
Rhys has been alittle distant over these past couple of days after the attack, did I do something wrong? I finally catch up to Rhys when he's sitting at our desk in the next class. Which just had to be about vampire history and rules. This class is two hours long and I don't think I'm going to have enough story to last that long, I only have a few pages left which means I might have to actually listen to the lesson. The teacher talks endlessly about how vampires and humans can never have relationships, she also talks about how a vampire must never take the blood from another vampire, especially from a pure blood. The lesson is actually kinda interesting now that I'm listening, while the teacher is taking a quick break I look over at Rhys. He's asleep again, I haven't known him long but it is worrying me. The teacher comes back and the lesson resumes.
*After class*
Class finishes and I found that I actually took notes for once. Rhys manages to wake up by the end of class this time. We walk out of the school building and we part ways, I can only assume that he was going to his room but I can't imagine him going to sleep after sleeping through all of his classes today. I get back to my room, weighed down by several books about the rules of vampires and their history. I drop the books on my desk and begin to read through them. Its all actually really interesting.
