Time had passed when my eyes finally opened again, the rain had cleared leaving the ground feeling damp. I get up off the ground and start aimlessly walking, following the sound of voices. "I must be close now" I say to myself. I turn a corner and everyone is in the middle apart from Rhys, Tash looks at me and quickly comes over to hug me "There you are! I was so worried. Are you okay? You look really pale" she says looking at my face, I nod alittle, my hands felt cold and shaky. "I'm okay, I just got lost I guess. Something strange happened though" I say but as I am about to continue I feel a cold sensation burning my arm, forcing me to stop talking. "I told you strange things happen here" said Rhys appearing behind the group. As I look at him I feel something sharp in my chest. There's something about him that isn't right. "Did you get lost too?" Asked Charlie, Rhys shifted alittle "yeah something like that, we should go it's getting late" he said turning around and starting to walk back the way he came. We all followed him without question.
After a while we ended up back near the school, the three boys had to go. We say our goodbyes and they all leave. Me, Tash and Rhys make our way to the school before parting ways to our rooms. The first light of dawn had started to rise over the hillside, a sign that I should rest for now. I undress and climb into bed, instantly falling asleep, my head filling with dark dreams.

Time skip- Monday night

I sit at my desk spacing out as usual, the teacher was going on about god knows what. It seemed like Rhys wasn't paying much attention either. To be honest, he hasn't been the same since we hung out over the weekend, he seems more distant. Time goes on as I think about what could be wrong when I'm interrupted by a loud slamming sound. I jolt to attention, the teacher had slammed a textbook down on my desk. "Tayanne! Did you even pay attention to a word I was saying?" He asks sarcastically, I look at my desk and shake my head. He sighs and begins to repeat himself. He was talking about the annual winter solace, a festival and ball to celebrate the cold. Every student was forced to attend the ball regardless of whether they wanted to or not. I of course, was no exception. I was forced every year and it always turned out the same. I always say in the corner, wearing normal jeans and t-shirt, reading a book. I had no doubt that this year would be the same.
Finally class ends so I can go on break.
