So here you go! I hope you like it and I'll probably make more like this one.)(TRIGGER WARNING: THERE ARE MENTIONS OF ABUSE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT SO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!)

{In Lance's dream}

It was 3:40 a.m. and Lance was terribly thirsty. His throat was practically screaming at him for a nice and cold glass of water, but getting out of bed before Alex woke up was a bad idea and Lance knew it. It was something as simple as getting some water but if Alex woke up to an empty bed he would not be happy. He would jump to conclusions and accuse Lance of sneaking out while he was asleep and sleeping with other guys, or trying to steal things from him in the night like a thief.

Lance knew it was dangerous, but he got up anyway, surely he could convince his boyfriend that he was just getting a glass of water, right?

So he crept through the halls of their shared apartment and found his way to the kitchen. He flicked on the lights and retrieved a glass from the cupboard, filling it with tap water he quickly downed the glass as his throat was gratefully hydrated. He let out a little sigh of contentment, despite the horrible situation he was living in, he still found joy in small things. Even something as small as a glass of water.

However, this joy didn't last long as the lights suddenly went out. Lance frantically whipped his head around for the person who turned them off, only to find Alex standing by the light switch. He couldn't see very well but he could make out Alex walking towards him aggressively.

He grabbed Lance by the throat and slammed him into the refrigerator, he could already feel the bruise forming on his back. With his other hand Alex pinned Lance's hands above his head forcefully as he got in his face and screamed at him.

"You stupid slut, this is what you get for sneaking out again." Alex spat at him while smashing his lips to Lance's and forcing his tongue in his mouth.

Lance desperately tried to free his hands as the tears slipped down his cheeks one by one. He didn't want this at all, he just wanted Alex to leave him alone

"Alex please I didn't leave, I didn't I swear," Lance cried once his mouth was free of Alex's lips, "please please Alex let me go, don't do this please I don't want to do this."

"If I don't punish you then you won't learn your lesson, think about this the next time you're fucking someone else." He seethed as he pressed kisses down Lance's neck while Lance struggled and cried.

{End of Dream}

The words swirled in his head as he struggled to awaken from his nightmare. Every insult that Alex had ever thrown at him.

Slut.

Fat.

Ugly.

Worthless.

Bitch.

Stupid.

Screw up.

Someone was shaking him, he felt hands on his shoulders and the bed dip from weight that was being applied to it.

Instinctively he screamed, thrashed and tried to wake up to get away from the person who was touching him. He thought it was Alex and he didn't ever want him to touch him again. Never again. So he kept tossing and turning and crying and whimpering until he woke up with a gasp. He immediately sat up and put his head in his hands.

"Lance! Lance, what happened baby?" Hunk asked as he carefully removed his hands from Lance's shoulders to slowly scoot on the bed beside him.

Lance's sobs were the only audible sound coming from him, he was gasping for air and chest was heaving. He began to freak out as he looked around at the dark room that seemed to swallow him whole, there was no light, but he hadn't needed a light for a while after the whole incident with Alex. He thought he was recovering, and he was, but sometimes he would have nightmares like this, and Hunk would always be there to help him. They were roommates at the Garrison, their beds were right across from one another and there was a night light plugged into the socket on the wall. However, it had turned off during the night and Lance was unnerved that he was surrounded by nothing but darkness.

He curled in on himself and Hunk tried to get his attention, he knew about what happened and Lance's nightmares. He knew how to calm him down and he was going to do it because he couldn't stand to see Lance like this.

"Lance, Lance look at me. Everything is okay, you're okay. I'm here, baby just focus on me." He soothingly spoke to Lance and slid an arm around his shoulder, pulling him closer to Hunk's chest.

Lance looked up into Hunk's eyes and took deep breaths. He focused on the way Hunk's lips formed perfect curves and the way his eyebrows were shaped, his cheeks and jawbone were sculpted but his cheeks were still squishy somehow.

"Hunk?" Lance breathed, he needed to make sure he was there, to make sure that this wasn't another sick dream and that Hunk was really here holding him in his arms.

"Yea babe? What is it, what's wrong?" Hunk worried, trying to search for any sign of discomfort in Lance's eyes, but he found none.

"Hunk." He repeated. Hunk was there, he would always be there.

"Yea, I'm here. I'll never hurt you as long as I live, I will never be like him. I'll give you lots of kisses and warm hugs and cuddles." After he finished his sentence he peppered soft kisses on the top of Lance's head and all over Lance's face to make him feel better.

It worked, Lance was giggling and smiling like a goofball. After the kiss-attack was over with, he snuggled up in Hunk's arms while Hunk rested his chin on top of Lance's head and ran a hand up and down his back. He slowly rocked them back and forth until he was sure Lance was about to fall asleep. He whispered quietly to him about how much he loved him and how beautiful he was.

"Hunk," Lance mumbled while slowly drifting off, "love you."

Hunk chuckled at Lance's sleepiness and pressed another kiss to the top of his head.

"I love you too, Lance. I always will." He whispered, and kept rocking them back and forth until he too fell asleep.

Turns out, Lance didn't need a nightlight. He only needed Hunk there to sooth him and be with him during good times and bad. Hunk would always be his light in the darkness.
