Bex Mack: Story of Bexs life!

Oopsies

It was Saturday.
Family was coming over.
Today was the gender reveal for Kelly.
I got up, and as usual threw up.
I brushed my teeth and went downstairs and ate breakfast.
Kelly: "Good morning Bex!!"
Kelly was standing on a chair hanging blue and pink streamers on the ceiling of our house.
"Morning."
Kelly: "Your mom and dad are outside setting up the food table... just wanted to let you know just Incase you were wondering!"
"Thank you."
Before I knew it, it was 1:00pm. People started to arrive.
As more and more family members walked in, I kept getting more anxious.
Usually I don't care for this kinda stuff, but when you are holding a big secret and you had several times almost accidentally blurted it out, it's kinda nerve racking.
I sat on the couch and pretended I was so interested into watching TV thinking people wouldn't expect a hug or anything.
So far it worked!
Besides my little cousins coming up saying hi and hugging me, everyone else just said Hi.
My mom told me that if I stayed down here till everyone was here, I could go upstairs till it's time to reveal the gender.
Everyone was here besides my Aunt Claire which wasn't a surprise.
She's always late.
As that thought passed through my mind, she walked in.
Claire: "Ahhhhhhh!!! Ham!!! Kelly!!! Celia!! It's so good to see all of you!!"
Dad: "It's so good to see you too!!"
Kelly: "Yes it is!!"
Mom: "Nice to see you again."
Isabella: "Uncle ham!!! Aunt Celia!! Yay!! And Kelly!!! Even more yay!!"
Claire: "say hi Jason!!"
Jason: "Hi Jason!"
See, sarcasm  does run in the family!
Dad: "Haha! Hi bud!"
Claire: "Where's Bex?"
Isabella: "Yeah! Were is she?!"
My dad must've pointed to where I was.
Instead of just saying 'Hi!' Claire and Isabella expected a hug.
Claire: "Bex!! It's so good to see you sweetie!!" She hugged me.
"It's so good to see you too!"
Isabella: "Bexieeeeeee!!"
She ran up and gave me a hug.... it was a tight one.
I pushed her off, but it was kinda reflects when I did... at least it wasn't that strong and she didn't really say anything but laughed a little thinking I was just messing around.
After that, my Aunt Claire finally went around saying hi to everyone.
As she did, I ran upstairs.
I was up there for a while.
I was texting Katelyn about yesterday and how I'm getting a new schedule Monday.
After that I put a record in my record play and listened to music and read a magazine to kill time.
After the music stopped, My cousin Kelly walked in.
Kelly: "Hey! Your mom wanted to let you know that it's almost time to reveal the gender!"
"Ok, but you didn't have to come all the way up."
Kelly: "Ah, it's fine! I was coming up to talk to you about something really quick... it's nothing big... I just have a question."
"Oh... ok."
What did she need to ask me?
Kelly: "If you don't wanna talk about it, it's fine... I just totally forgot to ask you this yesterday and I wished I remembered because I didn't think you would wanna answer this in front of family... but I have baby brain and we are upstairs, so I think we are good!"
When she said 'Baby brain' I started to worry again... that's the only thing I didn't know about.
"You can ask me now if you want."
Kelly: "So your parents told me yesterday about everything that has been happening the past week..."
Before she could say anything else, I started to panic more and interrupted her.
"What?! They told you that I'm pregnant?!"
Kelly: "Woah! Your what?! What's going on! I was talking about your boyfriend!"
Oops...
"Great.... sorry... I didn't mean to make your day worst..."
I stared to cry.
Stupid hormones.
"I just started to panic and I don't mean to blurt stuff out like that! When you said baby brain, I started to panic a little because I have no idea what that was! And when you said 'My parents told you everything, I started to panic even more! But after I said I'm pregnant I realized that there would be no way of you knowing because me and my mom talked yesterday about when I was gonna talk to you guys! I promise it was gonna be soon! I'm super super sorry!!"
I was crying harder.
Kelly: "Jeez....Ham and Celia's reaction must've not been good... hunny, I'm not upset at all!"
"It wasn't the best reaction... and obviously it wouldn't be because I'm a teen and I'm gonna have a baby with the guy who left and won't answer my calls...."
Kelly: "Bex, sweetie, calm down! It's ok! I understand! I mean yes I'm disappointed but I still love you, you are one of my closest cousins, I mean your dad is like a brother to me and your like my niece! Family has to understand situations like this!"
"Are you sure you don't hate me?"
Kelly: "Bex, stop that! Don't say that! I would never! I mean like I said, I'm disappointed and I'm shocked, but I mean you gotta feel the same way as I do, and to be honest I'm not that disappointed... I mean it's life.... stuff like this happens... not saying I went through the same thing, but teens learn from good stuff or bad stuff and do silly things sometimes!"
"Thanks."
I started to calm down.
Kelly: "So You probably weren't dazing off and must've accidentally answered yes to my question yesterday."
"Well, I was dazed off and I partly heard your question and it just kinda slipped out."
Kelly: "haha, it's ok! But I wouldn't worry about our family being upset with you... we are very forgivable and we get excited a lot too... like being all honest, I'm excited your having a baby.... I knew, or thought there wasn't gonna be a new baby Mack for a while and I kinda wanted someone close to my baby's age, even if we live far away!"
"Yeah, I guess so."
David: *yells from downstairs*"You girls coming or not?"
Kelly: "We are coming!! Just one sec!"
She yelled back to him.
Kelly: "why don't you go splash some water on your face so hopefully it doesn't look like your crying, I don't think you want anyone knowing about this right now."
"I will.... but I have a question."
Kelly: "Shoot away!"
"Is baby brain bad?"
Kelly: "No! Not at all!! It's just something I say because people say that if your pregnant you tend to forget things easily!"
"Oh!!"
That made total sense.
Kelly: "I'll meet you outside! I'll tell everyone that your coming."
"Ok thank you."
I washed my face and walked downstairs to outside trying to avoid people from asking me any questions.
I went to go stand my mom and dad.
We all got ready, some had cameras out ready to take pictures.
My Aunt Claire was holding up black balloons over Kelly and David's heads.
Isabella was standing on a chair on one side holding a needle ready to pop Kelly's balloon.
My other cousin Stephane who's about Isabella's age was on the other side holding a needle, ready to pop David's balloon.
Claire: "On your Mark! Get set! Pop!"
Both girls put the needles through the balloon. As the balloon popped everyone was screaming, jumping, besides me, but I was clapping, as we all saw pink confetti fall out of the balloons.
Both Kelly and David were over joyed and super happy.
Kelly: "We are having a girl!!!"
David: "I know!!"
Kelly went over to whisper something to David.
Kelly: "We have a name!! That's why I was whispering to David!"
Everyone was quite, patiently waiting.
David: "Ava Elizabeth Mack!"
Everyone cheered even louder.
I liked that name.
It was a cute name for a girl.
Then I started going over names in my head. Boy and girl names.
Sadie
Mackenzie
Ashley
Nolan
Jackson
Carter
Even though I wasn't a huge fan of some of the
Names, I kinda liked doing this.
Then I started wondering...
is my baby gonna be a girl? Boy?
I thought I wouldn't ever be excited to think that, at least for right now, but to my surprise... I was!
Only a couple more months and soon I will know if I'm having a Boy or a Girl!
