Cage tried to get up but was then pulled up by Mike and was thrown against the wall. Then, Mike punched him in the face again. Mike's strength was now coming straight from anger. Cage tried fighting back. He threw a punch at Mike but Mike slapped Cage's hand away and punched Cage in the face before kicking him in the stomach. Then Mike grabbed Cage by the shirt and threw him again. Cage was down. He touched his face and saw blood on his fingers. He was weak and tired from yesterday. He didn't have enough strength to fight Mike. He took a few more punches from Mike and lay on the floor in agonising pain, groaning.
Mike said nothing. Just growled at Cage and then kicked Cage in the stomach twice. Cage was in pain. He hadn't been beaten like this in a long time. Mike was too strong for Cage right now. He had cuts on his arms, blood coming from his face. He watched as Mike took out a gun. He closed his eyes and waited to be put to rest. He never feared death. Part of him even knew he was going to go this way. Cage braced for the bullet.
Just as Cage was about to be shot, a car smashed into Mike.
Cage was lucky. He thought it was just chance. But when he saw the driver, he realised he knew him. It was Laurence. The guy from the fight club. Cage then quickly got back a bit of strength and got up. Laurence signalled for Cage to beat Mike. And he was going to do just that.
Cage then grabbed Mike and punched him. He then took the gun but didn't shoot. Instead he pinned Mike down and used the gun to hit Mike on the head 5 times. Then he grabbed Mike and pulled him up and beat him down several times. Cage let his anger out violently. He smashed Mike again and again. He then threw Mike in the rain. Then he took his arm and twisted it. He then heard a 'crack' sound.
Arm broken.
Cage elbowed Mike's face and then kicked at the leg before going down to smash it. Mike screamed in pain as he fell to the floor. Cage had broken his leg.
Mike was in pain, but Cage had used all his energy and strength. They both fell to the floor.
"This isn't the end," Mike said in a low voice.
"It is. For you. I'll just act like nothing happened here," Cage replied.
"I know you. Who you care for, your family, I'll hunt them down. My associates will," Mike said.
"I don't care for anyone else."
"You will care for someone. A girl. I know. I've seen to it."
"You don't know a thing about me."
"Yes I do," Mike replied. Then he paused and then softly said, "Jack."
Cage, upon hearing his name, got up and took the gun and shot Mike's head. It blew up, like Sam, in a cloud of red mist.
Laurence got out of the car the second Cage shot Mike. Cage lay on the floor exhausted and strengthless. Laurence dragged Mike in the car to go somewhere no one could find the body. The warehouse.
"Thank you. I owe you big time now. You saved my life," Cage told Laurence.
"No problem. Speaking of which, have you thought about The Forsaken?" Laurence replied.
"Yeah. I'm going to help you for saving me," Cage replied.
"Thank you Jack."
"No. Thank you. Now you better go. I am going to go back to school to clean my wounds and wait out the storm."
"Okay. See you around Jack Cage."
"See you around Laurence."
Jack watched Laurence drive off before heading back to school. He then walked to the canteen and cleaned the wound on his arm. He said, "Ow. This hurts like shit."
Cage then saw the girl. She rushed up to him and Cage thought, well.... this is perfect...
