"Mike it's raining!" El exclaimed to her boyfriend, Mike Wheeler.

"Yes, yes it is," Mike said standing next to his girlfriend who was standing infront a window of the Wheeler's residence.

"I wanna go outside," El said still looking out the window, not looking at Mike.

"You're gonna get a cold El," Mike chuckled, wrapping an arm around the girl he deeply loved.

"I don't care," El pouted leaning her head against his shoulder, looking out the window, watching a squirrel run across from one tree to another.

"If you don't let me go outside, I'll- I'll stop kissing you!" El giggled. Mike chuckled along with her, pecking her soft pink lips.

"I doubt that," Mike said turning her head so she could be able to see him. "You're still not going outside, I don't want you getting a cold."

El pouted, upset that she couldn't go outside to play in the rain. Mike wasen't Joyce or Hopper though, they always gave orders, Mike wasen't Joyce nor Hopper so she could do whatever she pleased as long as it wasen't dangerous.

"Whatever..." El said looking at Mike again before she pressed her lips against his and getting out of his embrace before she bolted out the front door.

Mike shaked his head, laughing lightly at his girlfriend. Mike looked out the window at the sight of his girlfriend spalshing on a puddle. He walked out the the front door without even thinking of bringing a coat for him or El.

"What are you doing?" Mike chuckled walking down the steps to his girlfriend, who was jumping on a puddle with just socks on. She's gonna catch a cold, Mike thought as he shook his head still laughing.

"Jumping on a puddle," El answered him as Mike stood near her, watching her jump again.

"You're gonna catch a cold!" El mocked Mike with a voice that was no where close to Mike's.

"Shut up, I couldn't just leave you alone here." Mike rolled his eyes playfully at his girlfriend.

"We can catch a cold together," El joked turning to look at her boyfriend.

"You honestly think that we're not gonna catch a cold, right?" Mike laughed stepping closer to her. "You always catch a cold when you go outside while it's raining."

"I'll be the first person in history to not catch a cold." El said stepping closer to him.

"We're gonna catch a cold El, let's go back inside." Mike said for what felt like the 100th time he said it to her.

El shook her head and stepped closer to Mike, they were now 6 inches apart. Mike who was now a bit irritated with her saying no, grabbed her hands and pulled her into his chest.

"If I kiss you, can we go inside?" Mike chuckled looking down at El's curly brown hair.

"I don't know, maybe?" El smirked, looking up at him.

"Good enough for me," Mike shrugged with a smile on his lips before grabbing her chin and pressed his warm lips against her cold ones.

Mike wrapped his arms around her torso while El wrapped hers around his neck while still kissing. They kissed for a few minutes until they seperated for a gasp of air.

"You know," Mike began tucking a curly piece of hair behind El's ear. "I always wanted to kiss you while it was raining." He smiled looking at his girlfriend.

"Really? Wow." El smiled back "You still want to go back inside or stay here?"

"Go back inside." Mike playfully rolled his eyes, grabbing her hand before running back inside.

The next day...

El had woken up with a cold next day, I probably shouldn't have gone outside, she thought. She hated getting sick. She didn't regret going outside yesterday though. She loved every second she spent outside with Mike.

"Oh baby, did you go outside while it was raining?" Her adoptive mother, Joyce Byers, asked worridly placing a bowl of chicken noddle soup infront of El.

El coughed into her arm, worrying she would spread it, while nodding. Joyce shook her head while smiling at her daughter.

"Why?" Joyce asked, curious on why since she knew that El hated getting sick.

"I just wanted to feel the rain, I guess, I really don't know." El shrugged, taking a spoonful of the chicken noodle soup. "Mike probably got sick too since he went outside with me."

Joyce shook her head while chuckling "Young love." Joyce said before she leaned down and kissed El on top of her head and sat down next to her.

Before she could, she heard a knock on the door. "I wonder who is here at this time." Joyce said to herself confused.

She went over to the door, no longer confused as Mike Wheeler was standing there. Of course he would come at this time of hour just to see El. Joyce thought.

"Come in Mike," Joyce opened the door wider for him. Mike nodded his head as in to say a silent "thank you."

El was the first thing he saw when he stepped inside. He chuckled silently before he sat down on the chair that was next to her.

"Did you get a cold?" Mike smiled at her, already knowing the answer.

"Yes, yes I did Mike okay?" El kicked his leg softly under the table. "What about you? Huh Mike? Did you get a cold?"

"No, surprisingly I didn't get a cold." Mike smiled at her before he ruffled her hair. "Looks like I'm the first person in history, to not catch a cold."

"Do you want some chicken noodle soup too Mike?" Joyce asked him while she made her way to the stove.

"Yes please, Miss Byers." Mike turned to her but then looked back at his girlfriend.

"You still look beautiful, you know that? Even when you're sick." Mike reminded her.

"Yeah," she turned to look at him, smiling. She wanted to kiss him but she worried that he would get sick by her and her mother was a few feet away from them.

"I don't regret going outside with you," Mike said, holding her right hand while she ate with the other. He raised her hand and kissed it. El felt butterflies in her stomach whenever he did things like that or just kiss her.

"Me neither." El smiled at him taking a spoonful of her soup. Mike reached over to her and kissed her right on the lips, not caring if he got sick. El smiled totally forgetting that her mother was just a few feet away from them.

El was the one to break the kiss when she heard her mother place the bowl of soup infront of Mike, not wanting to interrupt them. Mike confused on why she seperated so quick looked behind him. He blushed a deep shade of red aswell as El.

"Thank you Miss Byers, it looks delicious." Mike said grabbing the spoon and taking a spoonful of the soup.

"Thank you Mike." She chuckled winking at El. El looked down at the floor smiling, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

Mike nor El were used to people watching them do anything romantic, they always did it behind closed doors. Whenever they caught someone looking at them, they would turn to a tomato.

"I love you," Mike kissed her on the temple, "so much, you don't even know."

"I love you too," returning the gesture.
