Wow, where to start? I’m now officially known as Molly Flint. Everything went perfectly and smoothly, I couldn’t have asked for a better day. I don’t care that I’m now 18, I love the fact I’m now Mrs. Daniel David Flint. Some people might find it stupid or pathetic that I’m 18, married and having twins but it’s not, its actually the best thing to have ever happened to me. I don’t see what’s wrong with it.
We’re now in sunny New York City, spending our honeymoon together. Dan’s decided to take us on a tour of FOX News. He has this weird fascination with them and the building… all things American basically, but being honest, I find it slightly fascinating too but I like to watch Dan more; how he looks at different sections with an expression on his face that’s hard to describe. He’s just really into it.
“And right through here is where the weather is filmed.” Glynn the tour guide told us. I didn’t realise that it was just Dan and I on the tour. It wasn’t cheap either, $50 each but it was in some ways worth it.
“This is brilliant Molls!” Dan commented, scrunching up his face with excitement. I just grinned at him. I love seeing him this happy.
“It really is Dan!” I kissed him. Glynn just started smiling at us.
“Would you like to see the main area? They are recording the afternoon news now.” Glynn asked. We agreed and followed him down this long, narrow corridor filled with pictures of the different presenters and their names on a plaque.
“Ha,” I scoffed, pointing to one plaque.
“What’s up, Molls?”
“This ones got the same name as my dad but no picture.”
“What, ‘Jason Craig’ is your dad’s name? Why didn’t you have his last name?” Dan asked, staring at the plaque.
“Because my mum didn’t like the sound of ‘Molly Craig’. She thought it didn’t suit.”
Dan burst out laughing. “I like Molly Flint the best.” He wrapped his arm around me and kissed my forehead as we approached the studio. I agree with Dan there, Molly Flint is best suited.
“Disgraced Texas tycoon Allen Stanford, famed for bankrolling cricket in the Caribbean, is jailed for 110 years for running a $7billion Ponzi scheme. That’s your lot from me this afternoon. I’m Jason Craig and you’re watching FOX News. Here’s what’s coming up in the next hour.” He got up out of his seat and faced me, stopping dead in his tracks.
I can’t believe it. That’s my dad. He’s my dad. He’s working for FOX News. What the fuck? He was working in an office when he left me and mum with his secretary and now he’s working for FOX?! How does that work? Out of the billions of men that share his name and I accidentally see him on my honeymoon.
“Molly?” He called over, squinting his eyes, unsure if it was me.
I held onto Dan’s hand, tight to the point it turned purple slightly and he let out a slight moan of pain. I don’t know if I was happy or angry at seeing him. He walked up closer to me, standing right in front of me.
“Molly, it is you! How have you been and what are you doing here?” He asked.
I didn’t reply, I couldn’t. Nothing would come out of my mouth, not even a breath.
“Molly?” He asked again.
“H-h-hi Jason.” He didn’t deserve the title Dad.
“How have you been, pumpkin?” He touched my arm but I shifted it away viciously.
“Oh, you know. Been brilliant these past three years you’ve been gone. Just wonderful.” I spat at him, sarcastically.
