I’m so thankful for long sleeved shirts.
I know what you’re probably thinking; she’s cut herself.
And you’re thinking rightly.
I... I just couldn’t stop myself; Dan hallucinating every day and seeing a therapist a few times a week, me losing the twins, everyone giving me special treatment when I’ve lost so many people in my life already. I just couldn’t stop myself from doing it. As soon as the blade touched my skin and began to dig in, I dragged it... multiple times. It took the pain of everything away. I didn’t even feel the pain of slicing through the layers of my skin. I smiled seeing the blood run down my left arm until it began to leave the cuts quicker and more blood began to run. I began to panic, running straight up the stairs into the bathroom knowing Dan was playing Call of Duty in the next room. Turning the shower onto freezing cold to try and soothe the cuts seemed to do it and help the bleeding slow down and eventually stop.
I searched and searched the bathroom for something as strong as a bandage or even a plaster but I couldn’t find anything; the best I could do was wrap toilet roll around my wrist for now. The bleeding had somewhat stopped so I could pull my sleeve down and go back downstairs to finish cooking. I don’t know what brought it on to just cut myself whilst making breakfast for me and Dan... Something just triggered in my head and I found myself doing it.
“Dan, breakfast is ready! I’ve made your favourite.” I called to him upstairs.
“My favourite? Smells like your favourite, Molls.” Dan chuckled as he entered the kitchen.
“Well, you like sausage sandwiches too, Dan.” I placed our food onto the kitchen island.
“That I do, Mrs Flint! What are the plans for today then?”
“I think Chris and Georgie are coming round in about an hour and then I’m going out with her and Nicole for a shopping spree apparently because living in band tee’s isn’t good enough for Nicole!” I rolled my eyes at the thought of having to try on ‘girly’ clothes.
“Personally,” Dan started and took a bite out of his sandwich, “band tees are one of the best creations on Earth – I think! Plus, I think you look better when you don’t wear anything.” Dan grinned.
“Still as pervy as ever, Dan! Anyway, eat up. I’ve got to go and get ready.” I kissed Dan’s cheek and made my way upstairs.

"Ready to go now Molls?" Georgina stood up next to me in the living room where Dan and Chris were sitting comfortably, XBOX controllers in hand.
"Yeah, I'm ready." I kept rubbing at my left wrist, no one noticed though. I managed to find a bandage in the bedroom but changing it over has made the cuts really sensitive and itchy. I just hope Nicole doesn't make me try on too many clothes and show her. Definitely not short sleeve shirts either.
Walking down the high street was fine. Meeting Nicole in the town centre was fine until she mentioned trying some costumes for a Halloween bash Max was throwing. I’m all for a party and Max’s ones are usually the best that anyone could hold but costumes and Halloween? No.
“Oh come on Molly! You’ve got to dress up, it’s Halloween!” Nicole urged me.
“Nicole, I don’t like Halloween and I don’t like dressing up as ridiculous things. Just going to the party is enough for me. I’m not going to drink anyway.”
