"Molly?" I called to her. She quickly shifted in the bathroom, rolling her sleeves down, finding her make-up remover and placing something in her pocket.

"Yeah? What's up, Dan?" she sniffed. Something wasn't right here.

"I was just coming to see what was wrong and if you wanted anything to eat? I don't know if you ate or not when you were out."

"Oh, I'm not hungry thanks. I'm alright though." Her cheek twitched; it's a habit of hers when she lies.

I'm not going to push her on it, I don't want to upset her. "Okay, give me a shout if you need anythin''"

She just simply nodded and I walked downstairs.

That was weird, I thought.

"You fuckin' suck at FIFA, mate!" Josh shouted at Max.

"Oh fuck off you prick! Who's FIFA king? Hmm? Me, that's who!" Max shouted at him back. I love a game of FIFA me, but right now I'm just worried about Moll. She's been a little distant the past few days and is always wearing long sleeve tops and sniffling all the time. She keeps saying she's got a cold but I don't believe it. I don't want to accuse her of lying either.

"Oh come off it Max, you won't be FIFA king for long; I'm thrashing you 5-2 here mate!"

Their arguing continued for well over an hour, I'm sure. Josh was put in his place when Max beat him in three other games, keeping his FIFA king title and I'm just parking my arse on Josh's couch because Molly is out with Lauren.

"Guys, I'm gonna go into town and try and find a costume for the Halloween party on Saturday. See you later."

I got muffled noises in reply from Josh and Max so I just walked out, going straight onto the high-street in some hope I'd bump into Molly coming back from London with Lauren. No luck there, I suppose.

"This place looks worth it." I spoke to myself, walking into a near-by costume/party shop.

"Hi, may I help you, sir?" A familiar female voice spoke to me.

"Erm, yeah, you could actually." I chuckled and turned to face the lady. My face then dropped. "Wilona, oh wow."

"Hi, Dan. What brings you here after all these years?"

"I live here, Wilona. I'm looking for a costume for the Halloween party Max is holding." I held up two costumes, trying to decide whether to go as Batman or Spiderman.

"You're still friends with that twat? Thought you would have left all that rockstar life years ago."

"And that's exactly why I broke up with you." I spat in her face as I placed the Spiderman costume back on the shelf. "You caused nothing but trouble with me and the guys and you never believed in me and the band one bit. You were a selfish whore."

"If I remember correctly Dan, I'm not a whore." She placed a hand on my shoulder, her lips twitching into a sly smile. "You were the one who cheated on me."

"And it was one of the best things I've ever done in this life." I looked at her sternly, "I'll take this outfit."

I paid for the costume and as soon as I went to leave the store, I'm sure I heard Wilona say, "did Molly enjoy the note she got in the post?" with a corrupt laugh.

Whilst walking home, I was trying to figure out what Wilona was on about. Why would she know if Molly got a note or not? I mean, I'm not going to go snooping around Molly's personal items in search for a note that might just say "have a good future" or something on it.

No, I need to find that note.

As soon as I got home, Molly was sitting on the sofa watching some sort of horror movie with our duvet pulled up over her head.

"Dan, thank fuck you're home! This Cujo film really is messed up!"

"Then why are you watching it? You know you're shit scared of horrors." I chuckled, joining her on the sofa after placing my keys and costume on the table.

Her eyes stayed glued to the TV screen, "me and Lauren were talking today in London and she mentioned this film but she didn't mention the dog would be rabid! She knows how much I love dogs!" She quickly cuddled into me and I held her in place, covering her face from the film.

"You're really warm, Moll. Why are you wearing long sleeve tops so much?" I asked her, trying to be as nonchalant as possible.

"I've told you, Dan. I've just got a cold and I'm having hot and cold spells."

"Well, you feel really warm so why don't you just roll your sleeves up?" I went to roll her left arm sleeve up before she grabbed my hand, stopping me.

"NO, Dan... No I'm fine."

"C'mon Moll, I can tell you're not fine." I was starting to get annoyed. I know it seems really petty of me not to let it slide but why would you refuse to roll your sleeves up?

"For God's sake Dan, it's nothing. End of."

"It clearly bloody isn't Molly! For the past week you've been in nothing but long sleeve shirts, refusing to even take it off when we're intimate and you're constantly sniffing! What the fuck is going on?"

"It's nothing Dan!" She scratched at her left arm. "Shit." She said in a sigh.

I saw something red seep in through her white sleeve. I reached for her arm and she burst out crying as I rolled up the sleeve. That's when I saw cuts; all different lengths, fresh and old. Scars starting to form.

Her arm was covered in them.

*Sorry for not updating as much, college is literally a bitch. I'm going to try and update whenever possible and I'm sad to say there is only going to be a few more chapters. Don't worry, it will end on a good note!*
