I can't believe what my life has turned into, two or even more people want me dead. Shit, shit, shit,....

Pat stop, for goodness sake, I feel Tony engolfing me from the back and pulling me away from the wardrobe door,saving it from further punches. I couldn't stop the tears anymore. I lean into his embrace and let go.

What did she do?

We had a good run except for the two times she made away with everything and vanished into thin air. This is her return from the second MIA. She doesn't care about anything.

So why does she keep coming back?

Well, the first time she said it was for me but clearly that was a lie. And this time, well she needs help and knowing her lifestyle, I'm her best option. He adds sitting down on the bed backing me.

Then the timing is perfect, you can help each other I say moving close to him. At least know you have me in case she tries to fuck up.

He leaves the room without another word. One of the things I dislike about him, he says very little when he's stressed out.

It's almost 7pm and I haven't seen Tont.i decide to go downstairs and just before reaching the end of the stair case I can hear some voices. I recognize Tony's own immediately but it takes a bit more time to realize the person he's talking with is Nicole. I decide to eavesdrop.

Nicole: we need to take them out first

Tony: we can't pull that off but we get more info from them.

Nicole: I can get hold of something that would do the job. We drop it in the compound and it kills them slowly. It's not traceable.

Tony: how fast can you get it?

Nicole: give me 48hours. Once we hit the casino tonight you know there's no going back right?

Suddenly there's silence and after a while I hear footsteps walking away but as I make a turn into the hallway I run into Tony.

Shut, you scared me? I say taking a step backward.

You don't have to eavesdrop, Tony responds with a straight face and before I could respond he continues.

I will be out late but should be back before breakfast he says before kissing my fore head softly.

Can I come with you? I ask him even though I know he'd say no but am tired of waiting around.

It's not a big deal, Nicole and I can handle it. Just get some rest.

Tony, we need to leave now.  A voice comes from the end of the hallway interrupting us. Tony walks away fast before I could say a word.
