The Mystic Child

Chapter 1

The mother had survived the nine months of pregnancy and six hours of labor. This child turned out to be a beautiful baby girl, and she knew she was going to do great things. The thing was that she seemed different. The mother wasn’t sure if it was a good different or if it was a bad different.

    This baby was going to find something to be unbelievable. She will find something out about herself as well. This special something will make her decide between the world she is destined for or where she was raised in. It is going to be a rough journey. Who knows what the child is going to choose? She is going to go through love and findings of who she is. Will she ever meet her father? Now the journey begins.

~Age 16~

    “Tenanye,” the mother called out for her daughter.

    The mother is always looking for her beautiful daughter. The daughter has blonde hair and blue eyes. The people say if you look hard enough that you will see the rainbow in her eyes. This is true because she possessed something so special that nobody can know or truly comprehend it.

Tenanye has been showing signs ever since she was able to walk. Signs for what? Signs of using some type of magic that humans thought that didn’t even exist. She has been practicing since she figures out what she was doing without her mother knowing. Nobody knows that she had found a magic book when she was young she walked into her room and it was sitting on her bed. As her younger self she had believed it was a gift from Gods. In all reality the book had chosen her for a big reason that she will find out soon. The book came to her when her powers had awakened. It sounds weird, I know but it is the honest truth.

The girl is one of the strongest living-beings that have ever walked the planet; she is part of a prophecy that was for told decades before she was born. It was told that a baby girl would be born; she would have the rainbow in her eyes. She would have to make a hard decision. Something will amaze her people; she will become a ruler. The best one ever since the start of time.

Tenanye has always wondered one thing. Who is her father? Well not just one thing as over the years her mind has gone different ways about her father and herself. Why is she so special? Why does she feel connected to the forest? Everything is so confusing to her.

“Tenanye darling, where are you,” her mother called for her.

“I’m coming mother,” Tenanye said.

    Tenanye runs to her mother in her long blue dress that her mother had made for her. The dress looked like it was made in the Victorian era, which it was. Tenanye is usually found in the forest, which is her safe haven. When her mother called for her, that is where she was and sometimes she is there doing archery if she wasn’t in the backyard in a hidden area practicing her magic.

When her mother saw her daughter, she had the look of relief. She was looking for Tenanye for what seemed like hours. In all reality, it was only twenty minutes. This is a long time to the mother, but Tenanye loves being out in the world exploring.

Tenanye is an adventurer and acts more like a male than anything else. Her grandparents and mother are worried about her because of that. They think she will never be married. Who knows, they may be wrong.
