Silence.....
It was rather abnormal. You see,it was in the middle of the night,11:35 to be precise,on a Friday. And to eighteen year-old Albea, it was odd of her peers to be quiet. She was of the many that lived in the apartment complex near the large school she attended. Quite typical. Of course, most of the others were around Albea's age. This meant that they partied, especially during the weekend.
However, tonight was different. It was almost...eerie.

Albea rolled over and huffed, looking at the clock on her nightstand. 11:40. She groaned and rolled onto her back, starring at the mostly white ceiling. Moments later she found herself shuffling out of bed and into her closet. She quickly took off her PJs and slipped on a pare of shorts and T-Shirt.Albea threw on a jacket and snatched up her keys before heading out the door.

It was a five minute walk to the woods behind the complex. Enough time for Albea for clear her thoughts and possibly use all her pent up energy.
The past few years of her life had been absolute hell.

She always knew her parents never had a deep regard for her. To be honest it was no wonder why. Unlike most children, Ablea didn't seem to have any special ability at all. Most parents saw their child's powers manifest only days after they were born.

This combined with the fact she couldn't find a familiar willing to serve her meant that many looked upon her parents with disgust.

This is why they sent her to Devil's Honorary,a rather high end school that specialized in teaching wizardry and occultism. At least they had enough heart to place her somewhere nice. The place was like a second home for Albea, despite the fact that hundreds of spirits and demons ran the so-called haunted grounds.

Albea looked up at the night sky as she entered the woods. It was quite nice out. A gentle breeze blew while the sound of crickets filled the void that other noises rejected to fill.

Albea kicked a rock as she neared her destination...
If only she could be like all the other kids, maybe then her parents would accept her.

Soon enough, the teen found herself at her favorite spot: a pond.
Ya,ya. A typical pond. But to Albea it was practically her happy place. She ran over to the edge of the water and kneeled down, staring at her reflection.

Albea ran her hand through her curly, short, red hair before adjusting her black glasses. Her reflection stared at her with identical chocolate colored orbs. 'Beautiful' She thought. Was Albea self centered? Slightly....But she was more stubborn then anything. She hugged her knees and continued to stare at her figure in the water....

The hours that followed consisted of staring and thinking, the latter being done only once and a while. She could practically stay as long as she wanted, it was the weekend after all. And after much thought, she concluded that's what she wanted to do...

~×~

It was truly a bother, the human. Every damn day it came and sat there,as if expecting something. Acting like there wasn't anything better to do. Hugging it's knees and staring at the water is all it ever did. It even brought papers with it once! Who brings papers to a pond?! More over, why would you bring something you're not going to use?! It was such a confusing thing. It would even talk to itself! It must have been delusional,Ashen concluded.

Ashen was this thing's biggest hater. Not that there weren't other things the creature hated.....actually...there were alot more things than the human to be hated. But that wasn't important. The
cecaelia had more pressing matters at hand.

It was the human's presence rather then the fact the it was human that bothered Ashen.

Being the sneaky thing that he was,he preferred to stay hidden. The creature made sure he always fed and wondered at night time. Due to this, only a few people had every actually seen him,and when they did they always assumed he was a sort of ghost or the spirit of a dead person since he was almost completely white. And it only took a few people to spread lies about the poor thing. What exactly they had said,Ashen never knew. What he did know is that gradually the pond ,which he inhabited, got less and less visitors.

Until it showed up.

Now that the human was around, his eating habits were extremely erratic. And soon the water dwelling creature realized his entire schedule revolved around the pugnacious being. Everything from eating to crawling about was entirely decided upon the human. The more angry Ashen got,the more he thought of murdering the thing.

He had been dwelling in this pond for centuries, and he wasn't about to lose it to a stupid human.

He had to rid himself of this....this....parasite? No,not parasite....vexation. Maybe he would eat it....Ashen hasn't eaten a human in ages, literally. Or maybe he could drown it... That would be so much better for his reputation. Although eating it was a much more enjoyable plan...

One way or another it would leave and never come back.

Ever~
