Albea continued to stare at the water as she thought. However, the more she thought, the longer the night grew. And the longer the night grew, the heavier her eyelids became.
'Just a little nap' she thought as she closed her eyes for a few seconds before forcing them open at lightning speed. 'No! I can't...I'll just head back home...' Her arms soon extended upwards as she stretched, preparing to leave. But something hindered her from actually standing up and walking away from her resting place...Perhaps she was more tired then what she thought. It was all the more reason for her to stay put and curl up for snooze.
Albea took off her glasses and rubbed her face before replacing her spectacles. The teen yawned before flopping onto her side and curling up in a fetal position. A few seconds later she was fast asleep.
~×~
It took only about five minutes for the creature to realize his prey was fast asleep nere the water's edge. Perfect! Well...not quite... it was slightly too much of an easy kill. The beast wanted it to suffer~
Ashen swam from his current idle position in the water towards the surface. Soon, two blue eyes peered out above the water, messy grey hair slightly hanging in front of them. After many seconds of looking about, his blue orbs settled on the human.
It's red hair was slightly neat, eyes of course closed. It also seemed to wear....spectacles? Yes. That's what they're called. His eyes then ventured lower and lower... A closer look at it revealed that it was actually in fact a she, since Ashen didn't recall male human's having such obvious breasts. Other then that, the human wasn't much different then Ashen expected. In fact, she seemed slightly innocent, seeing as it had curled up to slumber.
It's then that he realized the human was without a familiar. It was this fact that had the cecaelia looking around once more for any possible life form that might be this thing's pet. Nothing. One more odd thing about this human to add to the list.
Honestly, he really didn't want to harm her right now. It seemed wrong to interrupt what seemed to be a peaceful slumber. Of all the hate for this thing,of all the evil things Ashen has done to humans in general, he refuses to kill a simple sleeping one?
'Great' he thought. 'What is next? Denying to slaughter fish?!'
Ashen rolled his eyes at the horrid thought of cutting fish out of his diet. When he didn't eat fish,he ate small woodland creatures. And when they failed to exist for whatever dumbass reason,he went after larger animals, such as deer or even humans.
Ashen swam closer to the water's edge;closer to the human, whom remained in slumber. The creature extended a hand from the water, which soon found it's place on the human's cheek. Clawed fingers caressed the it's smooth, warm skin. Of course, his hand was slightly too big to fit on her cheek, but at least he tried to connect with the thing on a social level. Of course, there was no response, and he expected none. The cecaelia quickly withdrew his hand back into the warm, inviting water. He lifted his head above the water slightly, enough to draw air. His head then returned to it's previous position, where he went on to blow bubbles. Ashen blew as hard as he could, hoping his stress would be popped just like the tiny air bubbles. Naturally, that didn't happen.
The rustling of leaves soon shattered his non- existent thoughts like glass. More humans?! The one he was dealing with was enough! Loud talking soon filled his ears as he groaned, quickly retreating to a darker area of the pond. As he did so,a small fish swam near him,as if to provoke him. Ashen growled before picking it straight out of the water and placing it right into his mouth. 'Mmm~ tasteful...'
