Dear Rose,
We've done it. Our graduation day was over in a flash.
I was expecting bittersweet feelings all around as we were letting go of our youth, departing our childhood lives. But I felt nothing.
Our families huddled together surrounding us two, forcing us to plaster cheerful smiles as they pointed their cameras at us. But of course, your smile was never faked. Pearls of white beamed radiantly, outshining the flash of the cameras themselves.
You pulled me towards you, clasping my hands firmly in yours.
With the click of the shutter, a gentle breeze blew frail petals from the cherry blossom trees; as they swayed downward, skimming your head then peacefully landing on the paved earth.
With that same click, it turned to a beautiful Spring day.
congrats, we made it -
