Dear Readers,
congratulations! you have made it to the end of Letters to Rose,! i hope you have enjoyed reading the journey of mei and rose, as much as i enjoyed writing it.
this short story will officially be the first book i have written and completed entirely, so this is very monumental for me haha.
i wrote this book with the intention of sharing how much love affects us all and it can come from the farthest as well as the closest people. it doesn't matter where or who it comes from.
love is love, and it is just that.
now i know that there may be some confusing aspects in my story, but i will explain some while also leaving others for your personal interpretation for however you please.
1. each of the chapters beginning with "Dear Rose..." is a letter mei wrote at that moment in time. the story is told in chronological order.
2. the quotes symbolize certain scenarios within the book and are not written by mei. they usually correspond with the following chapter. they are also original phrases i have created myself, except for chapter 30.
3. surprise! yes, rose is asian. taiwanese to be exact, however i did not go into much description with specifics. i did that on purpose so that it was up to the reader's interpretation on her appearance based on the other physical descriptions i had scattered around.
4. the epilogue prt. 2, is a letter rose wrote to mei while she was off in the city. it was never sent to her however, and it is just placed within the story to signify how rose was always thinking about mei as well.
