Prologue

Whitley Wilson was two when she was kidnapped by the Hawkins Lab. She was test subject number seven, the first successful test subject to posses multiple gifts; telekinesis, compulsion, and mind manipulation. The other test subjects, four, five, and six couldn't withstand the powers that were given to them. It was too strong for them to endure. It ended up killing them. The scientists knew there was something special about Whitley that made her able to endure all of these powers.
Whitley escaped from the Hawkins Lab at age eight. She never knew what she exactly escaped from, or what town she'd been in for all of these years. She used her powers to locate her brother, Collin, who turned out to be in Chicago with her little brother, Charlie. They lived there for a couple of years until Collin began to worry that the people in the lab would find Whitley. So he moved the family to Hawkins to stay under the radar.
Little did the family know that she had been kidnapped and taken to Hawkins at such a young age.
Little did they know, the lab was in Hawkins.
