Isabella woke the next morning to a pounding headache. She had very little sleep last night, so much stress and worry fell upon her she did not know how to cope. Her mother had told her it was okay to be anxious but Isabella had never felt so scared of something in a very long time. She called on Will and asked if she could board the Dutchman to get away from it all for a while.

“Angelica” Jack soothed her awake, he knew he would most likely be shot if he frightened her, much as it tempted him he held back. “Angelica, there’s something I want to tell you!”

“Jack?” She groaned half awake, soon she realized he was in her cabin perched on the edge of her bed leaning over her. “Jack!? What are you doing here?” she demanded as she abruptly sat up causing Jack to lose his balance and fall off the edge of the bed.

“Oof!” Jack hit the wooden floor hard, “Thanks a lot love”

“Why are you here? What do you want?”

“I had an interesting talk with your daughter, found out lots of things, came to realize a few things too” he got himself up and sat on her bed again. “Firstly, how is it that you have not told me of your daughter?”

“I did not want to change your opinion of me, why is this important Jack?”

“What opinion might that be?..” Jack was intrigued however he had lost sight of why he was there and what he wanted to ask her, “Never mind that, that is not the secondly to my firstly.. Secondly, what occasion was it that you and your daughter stumbled across me in Tortuga? I do not recall of such an event.”

“You know something Jack, don't you?”

“I know lots of things” he replied, “You know something” he accused, “Something I should be aware of and yet the two people concerned have neglected to tell me” he said louder, looking her in the eye. He still did not fully believe in his theory.

“And what might that be?” Angelica was growing increasingly anxious, she knew deep inside he had sussed them out. She was concerned as to how he might react to the news. She knew he would never have given up pirating to help her raise a child so she never bothered to concern him with the news of his daughter.

“My relation to Isabella..” He said coldly as he got up and began to pace the room. Angelica was still unsure as to what relation he thought he had however she knew it was time to put things to rest. She got up, slowly walked over to Jack looked into his eyes and told him everything.

Meanwhile Isabella was accompanying Will at the helm of the Dutchman. She liked Will, he was just about the only decent man she had met. Isabella felt a lot of sympathy for him, she couldn't imagine the heartache he must go through.

“When was the last time you saw her?” She asked, Isabella could tell he was thinking of her, of Elizabeth.

“I can't remember” He replied saddened by the thought.

“Well, don't you think its time you visit her again?” Isabella asked, “Are we not close to the island where she lives?”

“It would take us a day to sail there and a day to sail back, I'm sure Jack wouldn't appreciate my abandoning him on his little venture”

“Just this once, I think you ought to do something for yourself Will” she told him with a smile as she spun the wheel and turned the ship to take Will to see his wife.

Back on the Pearl Jack stood motionless in Angelica's cabin, he seemed to be detached from the conversation. He looked at Angelica confused, unsure of what he was supposed to do or say. “Jack, are you okay?” she asked him,

“I have a daughter?” was all that fell out of his mouth in a slurred mumble.

“Jack, I thought you had already figured it out?” Angelica asked slightly annoyed with his lack of emotion.

“Well, I did. Just never actually thought it could be..” He sat down at her desk, eternally grateful for the bottle full of rum as he picked it up and took a few gulps. “How?” he asked, “When”

“I trust you remember our first.. Encounter?”

“Ah, yes” he smiled to himself, “Why was I not told before now?” his look grew more serious

“It would not have changed anything Jack. I did not want to trouble you, I knew you wouldn't give up pirating to help raise a child.” Jack could not argue with her, she was right and he knew it. Jack was very much about looking after number one, he would not have faired well with a child. “I presume she knows who I am then?” he asked

“Yes, she is well aware of you and who you are”

“Oh..” he sighed, he became concerned about what impression his reputation may have left on Isabella, Angelica couldn’t help but smirk at his troubled face. “In my defence I did not know I was to be 'role model' as it were, however one might argue I have been the perfect role model if she wanted to be a great pirate” he grinned, Angelica glared at him, he raised his hands defensively and replied “Only sayin' love”

“Come now, I think it's time for you to meet your daughter” Angelica led Jack out of the cabin

“Does this now mean we are to play happy families? Sailing the seas..” Jack gulped “Together?”

“Worried she might affect your reputation?” Angelica teased

“A little...” he confessed, Angelica rolled her eyes and began to climb the stairs up to the deck. Jack headed to the helm hoping to find Isabella but she was not there. She was nowhere to be found on the whole ship. He looked to Angelica for an answer who simply gave a sigh and marched across to the rails. Jack followed her, “Where has she gone?”

“Away” Angelica replied as she looked out to the horizon and hurried back to the wheel to turn the ship around.

“How?” Jack asked. Soon he realised there was something missing, “Bloody Will” He sighed. “We'll never find them now!”

“I see the island! We're almost there!” The joy in Will's voice made Isabella forget about all her own problems, she had never seen him so happy. “Will, can you go ashore?” Isabella had heard of the stories, once every ten years. Will looked at the floor and sighed, “No, I cannot”

“Then let me go for you, I will find Elizabeth and bring her here”

“She won't trust the daughter of Jack Sparrow, you'll have to be careful if she is to come with you, she won't come unarmed either”

“I’m sure I can work some magic on her” Isabella smiled with that same twinkle in her eye as her father. Will nodded to her as the ship docked and watched her on her way to find his love.
