Th lighthouse keeper went out on his boat
To see how far his light would go
But his oars took him too farAnd his lighthouse was no longer in sight
Though a storm seemed as if it wanted a fight
It would surely leave a scarWhen the rain came down,
And the lightning struck his boat,
The lighthouse keeper,
Never got to see how far his light could goAnd his wife was stuck,
At home alone
With no husband to return,
Boasting about how far his light could go
