I sigh sadly, walking without a clue as to where to go. I drag my feet across the pavement, one by one, slowly. What do I do now? I could feel that he never wanted to see me again. So what now? Do I give up? Or do I keep going?
I take out my phone and text Liam.
I smile to his contact name, he made it up. I'm his Rapunzel is Bae.
To: Flynn Rider is Bae
Hi Liam, I know you're probably busy but I just wanted to tell you that I love you and I miss you. Xx
I immediately got a response. I smile softly while reading it.
From: Flynn Rider is Bae
I'm not busy at all, I'm actually so bored. I wanted to text you but I thought you'd be busy, which reminds me... are you? I miss you so much baby! I love you too, let me know if you want to meet up after you're done hanging out with your friends.
To: Flynn Rider is Bae
Yes! Can we meet up right now? I miss you too much, I need your hugs :( xx
From: Flynn Rider is Bae
Of course baby, I'll be over. Where are you?
To: Flynn Rider is Bae
I'll see you on the café around the corner of the street, where I got us some coffee last time?
From: Flynn Rider is Bae
I have no idea where that is but ok, don't worry, I'll find it. Stay there, I don't want you to get hurt or taken away from me, see you in ten or fifteen. Love you!
I smile and put my phone away. I start directing my way towards the Broadway Café. I find myself missing New York, drama-free, New York. New York, where I met Liam, where I finally realised I can be happy again. New York, where the streets are busy and hundreds of people walk on sidewalks- making it impossible to see anyone you used to know. London, which is pretty busy as well, but somehow, I see that one person I was hoping I wouldn't see? Unbelievable. I reach the café and find the same barista dude. I need to learn his name. I walk up to him and he immediately recognises me. His face lights up like a Christmas tree, how cute.
"Oh, hey! Did you see that dude- what's his face?- James?" I smile softly. He's hopeless isn't he?
"His name is Nathan. And yes, I did see him." I answer politely. I glance at his name tag- Chris.
"That's great! Did you ask him when he's coming to perform?" He asks, slightly sounding hopeful. Whoops... I forgot.
"No, sorry." His smile falters a bit. "he didn't necessarily wanted to see me..." I trail off. He nods.
"Yeah, I get what you mean. He usually doesn't speak much, just shows up and asks when he can perform- we actually don't have time for his sudden appearances but he's too good, we can't miss him- and then he just sings, gets a cup of tea to go, and leaves. He seems cold, pretty rude dude, he is, at least he seems like it." He shrugs. Nathan was never a rude person. Have I done more damage than what I think I have?
"Anyway, do you want your drinks and muffin now or are you just here to say hello?" He questions, curiously. I almost laugh at that. As if I have time to waste. Well, I sort of do. And not that I wouldn't drop by and say hi to Chris because he's a pretty cool person.
"Yeah, I'm here for that, and can I also get a coffee? Dark roast and another muffin- banana nut." Liam loves bananas, he's asked me several times to suggest to make banana muffins, to Tania, but of course, knowing Tania, she will tell me that's a terrible idea and then go off in a Spanish rant of how I should get fired for making such terrible suggestions.
