I took a deep breath. This was
the biggest day of my life. I was so happy. So why was I nervous? It wasn't that I was worried America would run off. I wasn't afraid of changing my mind. I also didn't normally get anxious in front of people. Was I nervous about officially becoming king? No, that wasn't it. I sighed, and put on my best smile.

I turned to Carter, my best
man. America and I had agreed on making the Woodworks a part of our ceremony. It was partially to show what kind of rulers we wanted be, but also because Marlee was America's best friend. After getting to know Carter, I could say the same for him. He must've seen right through my smile.

"Something wrong?" he asked.
I debated whether I should tell him or not. I decided I really did need to talk. "Yeah, I don't know. Just nervous I guess." He looked me in the eye, saying, "You love her right?" I nodded. "And she loves you?" I nodded again, smiling. "Then what have you got to be nervous about?" I sighed, "I know you're right. It's just scary." "I understand," he replied, "I think everyone feels this way when they get married. I know I did."

"You did?" I asked; I was a little
surprised. He hadn't seemed nervous. He nodded, "Yeah of course! And my wedding wasn't even much of a ceremony. I can't imagine doing it in front of the whole country!" I gave him a nervous look. "Sorry that probably didn't help." "How'd you get over it?" I asked inquisitively. "Trust me. When you  see your amazing fiancée smiling at you, you won't be nervous anymore. I guarantee you that," he responded, putting a friendly hand on my shoulder. That calmed me down a little. I just needed to think about America.

I smiled, "Thanks, Carter." He
smiled back, "No problem, Your Majesty." "Come on, I just got you to stop calling me that!" I laughed and rolled my eyes. "Well we should probably get out there," I said. Carter nodded, and we made our way to my wedding.
