So heads up... In my mind my characters, Karter and Leon, are children of Slenderman and a Hylian witch named Rose Carson. Karter can't control her fire magic but Leon is great with his earth/plant magic... I'm not sure if that'll really come to play, but Karter has chosen to give up on trying to use magic. Thanks!~
~KarterJust another bad morning in Slender mansion in Karter's opinion. Already the pessimism fills her mind that she doesn't belong in this place- that she doesn't belong anywhere. The thoughts are eased as she feels the reassurance of arms around her. No, not her brother's, but her roommate's arms.
She slips out of the male's arms, careful not to wake him. Then she creeps into the kitchen to grab herself an orange to eat, but she hesitates. Nothing was wrong with the orange. So what was holding her back? The uneasy feeling of being inferior to all the killers in the mansion. Even her twin, Leon, who was completely different compared to the others was accepted by all for his great kindness even though he was a pacifist.
He wouldn't harm unless for good reason. However, when he chose to stop sharing a room with his younger twin to help make a new recruit to the mansion feel welcomed- she felt they grew distant since, even if he doesn't see it that way.
She peels the orange and eats it. Everyone- though dead or a monster- are moving on with their lives but I've gotten nowhere... She takes a deep breath to fight back the anxiety of being replaced creeping into her mind.
"Morning, sis!" Leon greets in his typical cheerful manner.
"Morning, Leon," she responds with a slight smile. Then the silence takes over once more, but her thoughts have changed. No longer depressive, but envious. Envious that her brother has been dating someone for months now- even if it was his roommate.
Then her thoughts traveled to her roommate. She really enjoyed his company, but was it safe for her to like a cannibal or even share a room with one? No not Eyeless Jack- though she did find even him to be cute. But her roommate really put up with her even when they argue and get into physical fights. She still holds a grudge for him decapitating her brother after all.
"Thinking about him again?" Leon asks.
"Yeah," Karter replies.
"It's better than your usual thoughts," He replies.
He was right. Her roomate seemed to somehow find a way to cut through her dark thoughts even when they would butt heads. But she's oblivious to his feelings- seeing the only time he claimed to love her as a way to stop her from killing him. Surely him cutting her off and making her his roommate must have meant something.
Maybe... But Karter seemed to be blind to it.
"I'm sure one day he'll make you real happy, sis. I know it," Leon concludes.
