William's POV

I tossed and turned on the bed not being able to sleep 'Evangeline my love I have to save you no matter what'

I couldn't imagine my life without this women she was my life she's everything I wanted

"William are you alright?" She asked placing a hand on my naked chest

"Yes, I'm fine it's nothing"

"Don't lie to me William" she said

"I can't let you die" I said

"William please don't" she begged me not to start the conversation

"I can't I won't let that happen I'll save you I promise"

"William we can't stop death" she begged

"No, but we can slow it down"

She looked at me confused

"If I erase your name from the to die list you won't die we'll have more time" I said

"William I don't want to hurt you" she argued

"It'll hurt me more if you die knowing I could've done something" I said

"William I'm sick" she blurred out

"What?"

"I'm going to die" she said looking me in the eyes

"No that can't be true" I said unbelievably

"My illness the one I was supposed to be cured from came back the doctor told me I only have 6months with treatment and medication a year maximum" she said

I stared at her hoping it was just a joke years started falling through her cheeks

"That's why I wanted you to forget about me I didn't want to tell you!!" She cried

I held her against me as she cried on my naked chest

"Marry me" I said

She froze in spot

"What did you say?" She asked

"You heard me marry me" I said looking at her with tender eyes

"I promise I'll make you happy well run away together somewhere where nobody will ever hurt us I promise I'll give you the life you always wanted" I said sincerely

"You want to marry me?"

"Yes, I love Evangeline I want you to be my wife and I don't care how much time we have I promise well be happy" I said

"But what about your job at the reaper association?" She asked

"I'll quit I'll leave the reaper world and live my life here in the human world but as long as I get to be with you I don't care what happens to me" I said sincerely

"......"

"So Evangeline Gates will you marry me?" I asked

He looked at me and smiled

"Yes I'll marry you" she said

I kissed her passionately

"God I love you" I said between kisses

She giggled as I left kisses on her exposed neck where we made love

Later that day

"William please come back safely" she said to me

I kissed her

"I promise I'll come back to you" I said kissing her hand

In the shinigami world( a.k.a reaper world )

"William you didn't come here at night I was soo worried" grell cried

"Hello grell I had to do some late night observation so I stayed in the human world yesterday" I said

"Well I'm glad your back" he said

"I have to see the to die list grell will you bring it to me?" I asked

"Why?" He said

"Because I need to double check on the person who's schedule to die I have to make sure I don't make a mistake unlike you sutcliff" I said annoyed

"Oh will your so cold!!" Grell said but left to bring me the list

I sat in my office and looked at the to die list

Evangeline Gates April 16 1896

"Now I have to just edit it" I thought

"She'll die 20 years later" I thought

I took a pencil and erased the date and placed April 16 1916

"Perfect grell!" I called

"Yes William?"

"Take the list back I'm done checking it"

"Is she really schedule for death?" Grell asked

"Nope it was a mistake she's schedule to die in 20 years" I said

"They must've made a mistake" grell said

"Yes a very bad mistake" I smirked

I left the office and walked down the halls

"They'll realize that the dates been altered but not to worry me an Evangeline will be gone by the time they realize it don't worry my love I won't let anyone hurt us"

I went back to human world to tell my love that we'll finally be together after all this trouble well finally be happy
