Later that night, Batman had chased down the White Portuguese and put a tracker on the Kryptonite while confronting Superman for the very first time. The two didn't like each other obviously, with Batman asking, "do you bleed?" and when Superman flew off, Batman replied with, "you will." Meanwhile in Gotham, Barbara was out fighting crime as Batgirl. As Superman flew, he noticed this other Bat Vigilante, and unlike Batman, this one caught Superman's curiosity. He decided to fly down and meet this stranger. "Didn't know there were other vigilantes in Gotham," he said as he looked at Batgirl.

Batgirl's eyes widened as she said with surprise, "Superman..." She looked up at him, her being 5'5, seeing that he was big. Not as tall as Bruce, but tall nonetheless. "You're the Commissioner's daughter, aren't you?" he asked. "How did you-" Batgirl stammered, surprised that Superman was able to find out who she was. "X-ray vision," replied Superman, "and I read enough about you." Batgirl was stumped. "You're not like him, are you?" he asked, and Batgirl shook her head no. "It's an honor to meet you Superman," she said, shaking his hand. Superman shook her hand back, actually smiling. "The honor is mine Miss Gordon," replied Superman, "now, like I said, I read enough information regarding you, and I have to wonder, how are you walking again?"

Batgirl chuckled a little and said, "You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Superman smirked, leaned on the wall casually and said, "I'm an alien, try me." Batgirl giggled a little. Nobody ever mentioned he had a sense of humor. Batgirl then said, "Well, you ever heard of Doctor Who?" Superman nodded. "Well, he exists apparently," said Batgirl, "and this world is apparently an alternate dimension. And I went into that time travelling spaceship and went into the future where there's a cure for paralysis..." She hated leaving Dr. Woof out, but would Superman believe that she befriended a talking dog? She blushed and said, "You don't believe me, do you?"

"You don't seem to be the type of person that would fabricate a story," said Superman, "and telling by your heartbeat and tone, you're telling the truth. I believe you Barbara." She sighed in relief. "I know my mentor doesn't trust you," said Batgirl, "but I don't believe you're a bad person." Superman smiled a little and said, "thank you Batgirl. I might have been a little harsh on Batman... perhaps I misjudged Gotham."

"There is good here," said Batgirl. "I believe that," said Superman, "you're proof that there is some good. Don't stop doing good Batgirl. Take care now." He then flew off, leaving Batgirl torn on whether Batman was wrong regarding Superman. Maybe he wasn't a bad person.
