Chap song: Chandelier by Sia

Kylees POV

When I showed up at the club, music was blaring.

I could feel it in my chest.

When I walked inside it was packed and I was instantaneously being shoved between people.

I started to regret coming here so I sat down in and empty booth and ordered a Coke.

Finally my drink came so I sat there and watched everyone.

That's when it hit me.

Look at these kids. I'm not the same as them. I'm not as skinny or pretty as these girls. I don't share the same interests as them. The only person I thought loved me had been unfaithful.

That was enough for me. By the time I was done thinking tears were already streaming down my face. I drove home and slammed the door.

Of course no one was home. God damn I was so sick and tired of my dad not being home when I am. It'd be nice to have him around.

I went to bed that night without dinner.

*************************************

When I woke up my phone had two notifications.

One from my dad. whoo hoo.

And one from Kian.

Dad: Kylee I'm sorry I haven't been around latley. I'm working on a big project so I left you $200 down stairs to pay for food and other necessities.

That's okay I guess.

I opened Kian's next.

Kian: Kylee I need to talk to you. Meet me at the Panera down the street at 1.

That was not okay.

I looked at the time and it was 11:30.

To be honest I had mixed emotions about this whole thing.

I got up and got dress to go on a run.

After I slipped on my shoes I walked out the door and started away from the house.

By the time I made it back to the house I had ran 3 miles and it was 12:00.

I walked inside took a shower etc. it's not exciting you wouldn't care.

By 12:50 I was wearing ripped skinny jeans that were rolled once at my ankle, a white fitted crop top with a plaid flannel, and my hair was in a low messy bun at the base of my neck.

I slipped on my white converse and hopped into my dad's second jeep. I didn't feel like driving my truck today.

When I got to Panera I got a sweet tea and sat down at an empty booth.

I was tapping my white acrylic nails on the table when Kian took a seat in front of me.

"Hey" he said.

"Hi" I responded looking up.
