I woke up staring at the ceiling where there were bright lights shining down on me. There was some sort of beeping noises and I was attached to the wall by tubes. Where am I? Why am I here? Oh god. My head is killing me. The pounding in my head makes me want to throw up...
"She's awake!" Someone on my right screeched. I looked over and there was a middle-aged Asian woman with tear stained cheeks looking at me. She looked really relieved and then I realized she was gripping onto my hand. "Honey, can you see me?"
Well, I can definitely see her, but there was more to what I can see. A teenager around 19-years-old stood behind her and with his hands on her shoulders. He looked like he was crying too but he looked more concerned rather than relieved like the woman. Why are my cheeks wet?
Who are these people and why do they make me want to cry?
"Doctor, she's awake! Come quick! Stanley, go get a doctor quickly!" The woman pushed Stanley towards the open door but she never let go of my hand. As I try to figure out what was happening, a doctor runs to my left and started examining me. I guess I'm at the hospital. Nothing is coming back to me. The doctor kept on asking me if I could feel this or that, or how many fingers he was holding up, and I found that it was foolish for him to ask all these unnecessary questions at the time.
And then he asked me a question that I could not conjure an answer to...
"Can you tell me what your name is and how old you are?"
"I...I have absolutely no idea. I can't remember anything."
