He started shooting when he saw us dash through the door. I grabbed Lily and threw her behind me and we slid on the floor. I then grabbed a table and propped it on the side so we could have a barricade between us.

I looked over at Lily who looked scared. She looked back at me and you could tell she didn't really know what to do. But there was about ten feet between us and the man.

I didn't want the other people to come in and get shot so I took Lily in my hands and looked deep into her ocean blue eyes.

"When I count to three you dash for the door and go to warn the others that there is a man with a machine gun." I said.

"Aren't you coming with me?" She asked worried.

"No I'm going to go and try to take him down myself." I said looking over the table to see he was staring at us and the door waiting for anyone to move.

"No we have to stay together. We're partners and if something happens to you then I dont know what to do. I just can't lose you and especially before the actual mission itself." She said shaking her head.

"I'm not going anywhere. Don't you believe in me? Just go when I count to three." I said. She finally just nodded her head and turned around facing the door.

"One...... Two...... Three!" I whispered. When those words came out we both dashed different directions.

She ran toward the door. The man didn't try to shoot her but he tried to shoot me. I ran and propped a table up once again but this time I was closer to the man. I didn't really have a plan other then just to attack him but my eyes looked over my shoulder to see blood but no Lily. She must have got shot but still made it out.

My eyes scanned the room looking for something to throw to draw his attention to across the room so I could get closer and maybe attack. Then I spotted the trash can and there must be bottles or something in there that would be really helpful.

I looked down at my belt that I always wear. My mom gave it to me for emergencies like theses. She said something like "I'm giving you this because people is going to come after you because your a strong warrior..." she always believed in me even when we both knew that I couldn't do it.

I looked at the items on my belt. I didn't have weapons on it because of school so there was empty slots. I didn't really have anything useful but a pocket knifes that I carried anyways for protection. You never know when stuff like theses would happen but I was glad to have it right now. But how could I use a knife to distract him long enough for me to attack?

He can't fully pay attention to me because I put a lot of distance between me and the door when I dashed over here. We both knew that and that if he sees me move even an inch close to him then I'm going to get shot so I have to make a plan.

I looked at my surroundings. There was carpet floors and fallen over chairs. We kept this company very clean so there wasn't any trash.

If I could take a chair leg off with my pocket knife and throw it across the door or something that could draw his attention over there. I thought so more but nothing could be any better so I grabbed the chair and started to try to unscrew the leg.

Once I got done I was looking at him waiting for him to turn his attention toward the door. Once he did I threw the chair leg away from me and his eye contact. He started shooting and I dashed over to him.
