The Meeting

This meeting would be better if they would split the teams up at tables so we could talk about our different routes and strategies. But no, we have to be in this crowd full of people while Eric screams at us through the microphone. And on top of that there is a women over hear crunching chips in my left ear without a care in the world.

I looked at her and I gave her the death stare but she just looked at me with her ocean blue eyes. There was left over chips on her lips so I pulled my hand up to her lips and dusted them off. Her lips curled into a soft smile which made me vomit a little in my mouth.

"Thanks." She said while looking up at me. But I just rolled my eyes and looked at Eric who had said something that I missed because of her.

Everyone was dead silent even Eric when everyone saw that someone was running toward Eric.

That person looked like Matthew which is his assistant. He was whispering something into Eric's ear. Eric pulled the microphone away while his eyes went wide. Something must be wrong so I stood up. I started walk toward the nearest exit just Incase we need to sprint out of here.

"What are you doing?" I turned around to see that it was my group of friends from earlier.

"Something must be wrong so I'm being careful by staying near the exit." I said calmly. They just gave me one of those looks that was obviously going to lead to Lily.

"Whose the girl?" Freddy asked. He looked at me and I rolled my eyes. He thinks every time you talk to a girl you have to have sex with them and that goes with the rest of the group.

"My partner that I got assigned to." I said softly. They just looked at me then at her.

"You got assigned with a girl? They must think you could protect her when you can barely protect yourself." Freddy said laughing. I rolled my eyes then I realized that Lily was walking over here.

"Shut up she's coming." I snapped. But Freddy and the rest of my friends was still laughing as she walked beside them.

"Who are theses people?" She asked looking at them.

"Were just going to leave so you two love birds can be alone again." Freddy said nudging my shoulder.

"We're not love birds, we're partners you idiot." I snapped but he didn't care.

"Why did you walk over here?" She asked puzzled.

"Something seems wrong. The assistants never interrupts the leader specially during meetings like theses unless it's really important." I said very calmly.

"So how are you calm about all this?" She asked with worry in her eyes. I looked at her and grinned.

"I'm the best. No one or thing can ever beat me." I said bragging. But she just looked up at me and rolled her eyes and her smile disappeared. It was strange not seeing her smile but I don't care.

"CODE 45! GET INTO YOUR PARTNERS AND GO TO CAFETERIA INSTANTLY!" Eric screamed through the microphone.

I grabbed her wrist and I dashed to the exit. I must have grabbed her a little too hard because she let out a little yelp but she didn't try wiggling out of my grasp. I let go and looked back at her as she was rubbing her wrist where I grabbed her.

Once we got to the cafeteria there was a man with a machine gun aimed at the door. He started to shoot the gun when he say us dash through the door.
