Partners

          People are running everywhere trying to find others with the same number that was given to us. Eric has been trying to calm everyone down for the past five minutes. It would be smart to make little groups and let them check the list instead of everyone at once. But there are like more than two hundred people here. I don't know but again I don't have the brains to be the leader so that's why I'm not.

      "EVERYONE CALM DOWN!" Eric said in the microphone. It took a couple more of those loud screams of his to calm everyone down. But suddenly the noise turned into a dead silence.

      I looked down at my number. "37" I started looking around to see everyone either in a group or looking around waiting for orders like me. But when I looked around I realize that everyone that's in this company wasn't here. Did they think they wasn't strong enough? But we need everyone solider we could get because this was the leader that was kidnapped. Not just some random girl that ran away from home or the ones that let people take them.

       "Look down at your number on your card and when I call out your number you can walk over to the sheet and look for your partner. Once you see who it is go and find that person but if you don't know that partner wait patiently in one of the chairs near that area." Eric ordered us.

      I looked around to try and find the sheet. But I couldn't see over all the people so I just looked where everyone was looking. And plus I wasnt first so I just need to pay attention to where everyone else was going. But I'm going to get a good partner even if the sheets says I'm not.

     Once he got to my number I walk to the sheet. I saw a bunch of people seating on the side staring at me. I found my name and the partner they assigned me to.

  "Lilith Rose." A girl? Are you serious? I looked over to the group. I didn't want to say it but what if she was actually strong? She can't be. But I walked over to the group of people seating in the chairs.

    When I sat down everyone was asking for my name. But then when I said my name to this one chick she dashed over to the list. She glided her finger down the list. Once her finger stop her eyes went wide.

    "YOUR MY PARTNER!"

    "So your Lilith Rose?"

     "You can just call me Lily if you like."

      Her? She's so small so how is she useful? I'm going to get killed from trying to save her.

     "Why are you looking at me like that? I can do a lot of damage."

     I didn't realize I had a puzzled look on my face. But she look up at me with her ocean blue eyes. She had her dark brown hair pulled back into a ponytail so I could see every detail on her face. She had this scar on her eyebrow that looked permanent. I wanted to ask where she got it from but I didn't want to be up in her business and plus I'm going straight to the office to tell them to get me another partner.

    She was still staring at me but I just rolled my eyes and started walking away. She ran over to me and started walking with me like a trained dog would. I looked over my shoulder.

     "Why are you following me?"
     "I'm your partner."
      "That doesn't mean to be up my ass 24/7."
     "Oh I thought we could get to know each other before battle."
     "No so bug off while I go practice more."
     "We can practice together!"
     " I don't think so." I said while stopping in my tracks instantly. She stopped too and she looked up at me.

     "Why are you so mean? We're a team so we need to work together."
     "Were not going to be a team because In fact I'm going up there to confirm a complaint."
      "Why? You found your partner so why make stuff more difficult for them? Just imagine all the stress they have on their backs. If this plan don't work then a lot of people will die even the kidnapped leader."

     She has a good point. Maybe I'll practice and see if she is useful. So I just started walking into the fields and I looked over my shoulder to see her furiously looking around.

     "Have you never been out here before?"
     "No I never thought this was in our area."
     "A lot of people say the same thing but it is so I practice and study here."
     "I can see why. It's so peaceful out here it's amazing."
     "Yeah."

    I got to my tree and climbed up it. I looked down to see her looking puzzled at me. I accidentally let out a little chuckle as I reached for my books in the leaves. I passed down the books down to her and reached for my stick that was long and thin like the swords they will give us. I pasted it down to her and she looked at the stick and back at me and started laughing.
