Not a very creative idea but something I've had on my mind for quite a while (pretty much since writing that Movie Night one-shot 😄) - a Ninjago version of Disney's Aladdin.

Preliminary cast:

Aladdin - Jay

Abu - Lloyd

Genie - Nadakhan (yeah, he's kinda nice in this one)

Jasmine - Nya

The Sultan - Kai

Jafar - Clouse

The prologue is quite close to the movie but there will be some deviations later.

Disclaimer: I do not own Ninjago or Aladdin !!!

Prologue

Our tale begins on a dark night in the Sea of Sand, where a dark man waits, with a dark purpose...

Clouse gently stroked the scaly head of the purple snake that was coiled around his neck.

"Soon, my dear." He muttered. "Very soon, the lamp will be ours." The Grand Vizier of Ignacia impatiently sighed. "Where are these incompetent idiots?" He wondered.

Soon, two riders in dark coats came into their view. As they reached the other pair, the two new arrivals removed their hoods, revealing the purple marks of the Anacondrai Cultists on their faces.

"Chope. Kapau." Clouse greeted them. "You are late." He noted.

"A thousand apologies, oh patient one." Chope replied. "It took us a bit longer than expected."

"You have it, then?" The Grand Vizier enquired, suddenly a lot more interested.

"We had to slit a few throats to get it." Kapau grinned, pulling one half of a golden insect medallion out his pocket and handing it to their master.

An evil grin on his face, Clouse opened his coat and revealed the second half of the medallion hanging on a chain around his neck. He eagerly removed the chain from his neck and brought the two halves together.

The lightning bug immediately came to live. It started to glow in an electric blue colour and stretched its wings, before it finally flew out of the Vizier's hand and further into the desert.

"Quickly, follow the trail!" Clouse called.

Following the glowing speck of light, the three humans and one snake were led to a sand dune that had transformed into a giant dragon's head. It was surrounded by electricity and white flashes of lightning crackling on its dark blue skin.

Clouse gasped. "At last, after all my years of searching, the Cave of Lightning!" He exclaimed. "Now, remember!" He told his two henchmen. "Bring me the lamp. The rest of the treasure is yours, but the lamp is mine!"

Chope and Kapau started to approach the dragon's mouth, which formed the entrance to the cave. But before they could reach the entrance, they were blown away by the powerful roar of the dragon's speaking.

"Who disturbs my slumber?" He asked.

"I-It's us, Chope and Kapau." The two replied hesitantly. "Of the Anacondrai tribe."

"Know this." The dragon informed them. "Only one may enter here. One whose worth lies far within. One who can withstand the power of the Lightning Cave. A diamond in the rough."

"Only one may enter." Chope chuckled. "That's just like at home."

"Yeah, only one can remain." Kapau agreed. "So, it must be an Anacondrai. But which one of us?" They turned to Clouse, a questioning look on their faces.

"What are you waiting for? Go on!" Their master yelled. "I don't care which one of them makes it as long as he gets me the lamp..." He mumbled to himself.

Hesitantly, the two purple clad warriors approached the entrance again, walking in sync. But as soon as they each set one foot inside the cave, the entrance lit up and electricity joted through their bodies. Before the shaking men could even recover from this – literal – shock, they found themselves blown back into the desert by another roar coming from deep within the cave.

The dragon's mouth slammed shut and the majestic creature's head retreated back into the sand.

Ignoring his two knocked out henchmen, Clouse turned away from the reformed sand dune.

"Those two were obviously less than worthy..." He stated, the snake hissing in agreement. "Only one may enter." He mumbled. "I must find this one, this diamond in the rough. This... Master of Lightning."
