Four years later

prisoner 2915 opened her eyes to the tinny cell. the darkness was only interrupted by the dim light of the tinny bared window, leading out into a nondescript hallway . the only sounds were the clomping of heavy boots. she sat up on her metal slab, yawning with her elongated canines.  she knew she was a monster. her name had been Lyra, but that name was forgotten, those pages in her history already turned. recalling her nightmare, she lay down, thinking of the young girl that had run from her master, and then failed to escape. it was fruitless to run. she had tried so many times before. she was jolted out of her thoughts by a guard opening the cell door. he came into the tiny closet-like cell and hand-cuffed her, then proceeded to shove her out the door. he walked her down dim hallways, pushing her every time she slowed.

they reached a plain metal door. the guard put his large hand on the panel. the door slid smoothly into the wall. the inside was lit by purple wall lights, casting an evil glow over the room. a metal bed with metal binds decorated the middle of the room the guard shoved her inside and then closed the door.

One of the druids glides in. a hand comes out and suddenly she was clasped to the table, unable to move. another hand comes out and then her head felt dizzy and her lids grew heavy and she drifted into a state of unconsciousness.

the next thing she felt was pain. the most horrible kind, like being ripped  apart and then being sewn back together. she screamed. It was constant, like a never ending circle. and then just like that, it stopped, and the screaming pain ceased, leaving a stabbing ache everywhere. suddenly she was able to move again. the cuffs were unlatched, and she fell to to the floor, her legs betraying her. she  heard a rasping voice.

"guard, take prisoner 2915  to the compound cell."

And so she was taken to a different cell.  the security was increased and the cell had light. she was thrown in. then she door clicked shut behind her. she took in her surroundings. Bare metal slab and a small plate with a bowl of a watery liquid and a bread-like thing sat in the otherwise bare cell. the only difference was the bright purple wall light  on the opposite side of the cell.

she sat on the slab and ate her food, then pulled her legs onto the metal bed. she let herself drift to sleep, not wanting to see herself.

the twitches  started an hour later. first it was the tips of her fingers. she opened her eyes. she saw her hand start to twitch. but then something scarier happened. her hand grew claws. they were long and cat like. she couldn't control her arms now and then her entire body broke out into uncontrollable tremors. she closed her eyes, the only part of her body she could control and lay quivering on her slab.

she didn't open her eyes until the twitching stopped. she then just gazed into empty space ignoring the aching weird feelings roaring through her body. she hated herself for going out at night all those years ago.

suddenly she herd the doors open, and she was jolted out of her little reality.
