after she had completely soaked herself with chilly water, she floated back down, her bare feet touching the cold surface of the stark metal. she tapped quietly onto the elevator. she slid down into a wet heap of loose clothes and long purple hair. the door opened and she stumbled to get up and out of the elevator, leaving foot-shaped puddles wherever she went. she giggled with happiness, a child again. for now, her dark past forgotten.

she entered her room and went to find something else to wear. after she had dressed comfortably, she sat on the floor, already board. she needed to let lose the excess energy that had built up since she had let it out last, but she couldn't, not here. she stood up and walked to the door again, ready to find another wonder within the ship. she was just about to walk into the hall when a blur rushed past her. a boy was streaking down the hall at the speed of light. others rushed past her yelling

"get that boy!"

she walked out. she did owe them a favor, but should she do it just yet?

eh, whatever, she thought and proceeded to chase the boy. she quickly caught up with the pursuers and bypassed them as they turned a sharp corner. she kicked the ground and rocketed into him, pushing him to the ground. she sat atop the boy and looked into his eyes. they were chocolate brown. his skin was pale and his short messy hair was dark brown.

"who are you?" she asked curiously.

"get off me you weird purple freak!" he yelled in response, his eyes angry.

he pushed her off, with difficulty. he shot up and raced down the hall. she just rammed into him again, this time grabbing his hands and pushing him on the ground, twisting his arm up so he couldn't move it. this time he surprised her by breaking free and clawing at her with claws that shot from his fingers. they grazed her arms. she growled from the pain. he ripped his other hand away and kicked her right in the stomach.

The boy jumped back and got into a fighting stance, a piece of hair falling into his face.

"Where am I?" the boy asked and pointed his sharpened hands at Lyra.

"The Castle of Lions," Lyra replied and created an orb in her hand that shined a bright blue.

The boy gave a small smirk. "Magic? That's an odd choice of a battle for the situation, don't you think?" he said.

"Who are you?" Lyra asked in a loud voice.

"Unimportant," the boy replied.

The others finally arrived and stopped behind Lyra. They saw the standoff. It was dead silent. Lyra could see that the boy's eyes were now milky white. He had a blank stare on his face and was ready to attack. Lyra stared at him, annoyed. Then the boy suddenly ran forward at lightning speed, slashing with his pointed hands. lyra jumped over him and summoned a flare of wicked blue, untamed energy toward his back. He grunted and fell on the unyielding metal floor. she stepped cautiously towards him and knelt at his head. Lyra grasped his head by his short brown hair and lifted his head to her face. She slapped his cheek to make sure he was out. When he didn't flinch she came to the conclusion that he was thoroughly unconscious. she picked him up, slinging him up onto her shoulder and stepped past the others. suddenly pain ripped through her shoulder and she flipped him off her back, cursing herself for assuming the best. He landed on his feet, snarling and tense.
Exasperated and desperate, Lyra hastily activated her pocket dimension. opening her arms wide, she sent light toward him and let it envelop both of them.

The light faded and she floated in her little reality, calm. He was also floating, about one hundred meters away. He floated closer.
"Where am I?" He asked.
"Your in my pocket dimension. Anything is possible here. No limitations." Lyra answered immediately."look I don't want to fight."
"Then what do you want." he fired back, angry.
"To talk like civilized beings."
"What about?"
"Why are you here, what I can do for you and where do you need to go? And your name."
"First of all my name is NOT important. Second I don't even know who you are-"
"My name is Lyra."
"Wow that makes me feel so much better!"
"I want to help you. Please calm down."
"Why do you want to help me? I just broke into this ship, hurt you, was hostile towards you in general, and now your wanting to help me?"
"They helped me. I was practically insane and extremely jumpy and scared. They got me from a gaulra ship, asking nothing of me. I just want to do the same to you."
"Wow... thanks."
"Your welcome. Now, will you please calm down so we can go back to the real world?"
"...I guess..."
"Thank you."
Lyra sighed and released the pocket dimension, letting the real world replace the starry dream scape.
She felt faint and collapsed on the cold metal ground.

"Lyra, are you alright?" a voice asked as she layed in a heap on the floor.
"I'm alright." Lyra said. A hand appeared in her vision.
Lyra grasped it and pulled herself up. She looked up the arm and saw the boys shining almond brown eyes, his light skin and dark chocolate hair.
"My name's Adam." He said, and they shook on it.
