My coworkers were insistent in making me go to the club with them. I tried telling them how I wasn’t exactly the party type, but they knew that I was lying. They wanted me to get out and be social. Technically, I actually was a social person. I mean, I work at a bar and it's kind of necessary to be social there. Eventually, we all got bored and decided to go to a house party that a college fraternity was throwing.

When I stepped out of the car, I knew who's frat house we went to. It was my adoptive older brother's frat house, Harry. He was a senior frat boy in the house. Harry probably told me that he was having a party tonight, but I probably forgot or I wasn't listening.

Once I stepped inside, I lost a few of my friends so that they could go mingle with others and find their college boyfriends. I was left alone to go find someone to keep me company with. I pulled down my black dress that my coworker, Danielle, let me borrow for the club. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the college boys that were checking me out and trying to get my attention. Please, I'm not someone you can hit it and quit it with. I knew my worth and they weren't worth it. I grabbed a bottle of beer and popped it open easily. I was walking around until I felt an arm snake around my waist and lips close to my ear.

“Who said you’re allowed to take a beer, Love?”

I rolled my eyes and shoved the arm off. I already knew who it was before I even saw his face. “I said so,” I said, turning around to face Liam.

He was a senior and one of the main guys in the frat house, like Harry. Liam was a close friend of mine when I transferred here to be closer to Harry. I met Liam during the end of my sophomore year and his junior year. “Well, look who came to party. It’s the one and only Roxanne Styles!” Liam laughed and hugged me.

I hugged him back and smirked at him. “You’re lucky I know the sound of your voice. I would’ve kicked your ass, you know.”

“I don’t doubt that,” Liam smirked. “I thought you dropped out here. Did you manage to come up with the money to stay?”

“I did drop out,” I nodded. “Three of my coworkers go to the college so they knew about the party tonight.”

“Anyone I know?”

I shrugged, “Do you know someone by the name of Danielle?”

Liam nodded, “We used to date.”

“Have you seen Harry or did he get kicked out of the frat house already?”

“I don’t know where he is actually. If I see him, I’ll let him know you were here. Alright, I want another beer. Be careful, around here. Some of the frat boys are trying to see how many girls they can screw tonight.”

“Were you one of them?”

He shrugged, “Almost did it to you. Don’t tell anyone what I told you though,” Liam winked. “I don’t want anyone shouting at me for ruining their game.”

I winked back at him. “I won’t say anything, but whoever is going to get at me tonight will be sorry.”
