I removed my shirt and laid down on my bed. As soon as I saw Roxanne climb up on the bar and dance, I was turned on, but turned off. I was turned on by the way she could move her body and how sexy she looked, but turned off that she could do that. She was a beautiful and seemed kind, so it made me wonder why she would ever do something like that? I was also pissed off that a lot of drunks and pigs were giving Roxanne attention.
Hearing disgusting comments made me want to pull her off the bar and take her home. The things that were said about her made me want to break the jaws of every man that called her out. I don't know why I even cared. If it was some other girl, I wouldn't give a damn and even join in on the conversation too. This was Roxanne though and she was different.
Even Mercedes and Harry weren't exactly thrilled about Roxanne doing it either. Mercedes just rolled her eyes and shook her head when Roxanne began to dance on the pole. Harry looked like he was going to drag Roxanne to a nunnery. The others didn't mind and Perrie was probably used to seeing the bartenders dance since she worked there too.
When Liam came into the room, I glared at him. “You knew that Roxanne was Harry's sister, didn't you?”
“Why do you think I didn't try anything with her?” Liam replied, sitting down on his own bed. I wanted to have this conversation with him before Harry came into the room too.
“You could have told me a valuable piece of information like that, Liam. Harry's my best friend too, you know.”
“I warned you to stay away from her. It's not my fault you can't control yourself when it comes to girls. Besides, you wouldn't have believed me if I told you that Roxanne was Harry's sister. You would accuse me of lying because they don't look alike and then laugh at me if I said she was adopted by Harry's family.”
My teeth clenched together. Liam had a point. I wouldn't believe Liam unless Harry told me. “So, why didn't Harry ever talk about her?”
“She prefers if he didn't. If he did, then he would have to give the whole history about why she was adopted and all that. It would be annoying explaining that all the time.”
“Do you know?”
Liam nodded, “I can't say though. Harry and Roxanne don't want me telling anyone about it. If you want to know, ask them.”
Harry walked in the room at that moment. “I don't care, Rox!” he said over the phone. “I swear if you ever do something like that again...”
There was a muffled sound of a girl shouting back at him. It wasn't clear what she said, but damn she got lungs. Liam and I looked at each other. We didn't know if we should leave or stay. I wanted to stay and listen.
“Mercedes didn't like that you were dancing like that either! You might as well be a stripper if you want to do that!...Don't you even think about it!”
“Well then don't control my life!” Roxanne shouted. My eyes widened from how loud she shouted. Damn, that girl has lungs.
Harry mumbled something and threw his phone on his bed. “Sorry, about that.” He took a deep breath before he talked again. “Mercedes invited all of us to her place tomorrow. She wants to have brunch with everyone.”
“Can she cook? I don't see her as the cooking type,” I frowned. I wasn't the one to pretend if a cooking was good or not. I love food too much and if the food that was cooked for me taste horrible, I wouldn't be afraid to be straight up. That's just how much I take food seriously.
“She doesn't cook a lot, but Roxanne does.”
I straightened, “Roxanne lives with Mercedes?”
