I ran back into the bar to see if I could find Zoe and I saw her smoking through the big pane window in the front of the building. I had gone out the door to find her flicking her cigarette bud into the parking lot. She just looked at me kinda funny. "Why aren't you inside? Kissing his ass like you always do? Don't you have somewhere else you can be? Shoo bitch shoo!" She shouted. "You don't have to be defensive with me ok? All I've ever done was be nice to you and you're always so mean to me! Listen. I get that Ronnie can be an asshole, he's a dick to me sometimes too bu..." I was cut off by Zoe saying "You really don't get it do you!?? He's never mean to you! The way he looks at you...and flirts with you. I just made up some excuse to do it. I broke up with him because I can't be with someone who's already fallen in love." "Huh?" I stopped to think to myself, there's no way she's talking about me...Ronnie doesn't love me? I'm a goodie goodie, he's a bad boy it doesn't work that way. And he always looks at me like that? There's nothing special about me so why would he want me? "Just leave me be, I'll get a ride somewhere" she said. "No here I'll take you! I have Ron's car keys. I can take you back to the house and you can get some clothes or whatever you need for the night. Please, after all of the trouble you've been in tonight, let me help!" She said "Ok, fine" as she walked to the car. We got in and I drove to Ronnie's house. While Zoe was packing her stuff, I was on my phone in the living room. "Hey Jade?" Zoe said from the bedroom. "Yeah Zoe, what do you need?" I had walked in the bedroom by now to find her zipping up her bag. "I made this drink, and I can't finish it will you drink the rest? I hate to waste it, and it's just tea." "Um, yeah. sure. I guess." I said as I grabbed the glass and downed the leftover contents inside. "Thanks. Oh I think my rides here!" She said as she pulled her buzzing phone out of her pocket. She grabbed her bags and left the room. "Hey Zoe? What was in that dri..." By the time I made it out of the room, she had already gone out the door and I figured it wasn't too important.
