I rolled over to the sound of my phone buzzing. "Who could that be? Its 2 am!" I asked myself. I answered the phone to find a familiar voice saying "Hey Jade you awake?" I rolled my eyes and laughed "Well now I am. What do you need Ronnie?" I could hear my best friend Ronnie chuckle through the phone "Sorry didn't mean to wake you, but I didn't know my best friend was so lame and goes to bed at 2am" "Oh shut up you idiot! What do you want??" I giggled back through the phone. "Get up and look out of your window! I'm playing a gig tonight with the band, and I want my best friend to cheer me on. Besides doesn't seem like I'm interrupting anything anyways." I quickly got up and looked out of my bedroom window to see Ronnie motioning me to come down. "Damnit Radke, do I have to? I have to get dressed, and pull down my hair and do my makeup! Plus im really tired." I snapped back playfully. "Oh c'mon you don't need all of that! You look good without makeup, and honestly I wouldn't mind if you had no clothes on...heh" Ronnie exclaimed. He had a very playful, dirty sense of humor. Nonetheless I loved it when he goofed around with me like that. "But what am I supposed to do about my mom? If I sneak out and she finds out She'll kill me!" I whispered through the phone, although I knew my mom wouldn't hear me. "Ah c'mon it won't be that bad, at least not like last time!" He says. Last time I snuck out was a month ago, to go hangout with Ronnie at the skatepark down the road. I came home to a screaming mom and cop cars. Again, I was the good girl of this little town, but something deep down inside me longed for trouble. "Fine, but give me 10 minutes to get dressed and do my makeup Ron." He laughed saying in a sweet voice "Nah, you don't need makeup. Like i already said, you look good" I smiled and replied with "awe really Ronnie!?" As he said "yeah...um...well...whatever, just hurry up I have to go pick up Zoe, meet me at my house in 15 minutes. I mean it 'J' don't be late or I'm leaving you here, and good luck sneaking the car with you if you're late and I leave!" I slowly lost the smile and replied with "Oh ok then I'll hurry and um tell Zoe I said hi, see you in 15 minutes!" We hung up and I quietly ran to my bathroom and started to get ready. I pulled down my hair and brushed it out, and surprisingly it was wavy and pretty. I applied deodorant and brushed my teeth and put a little mascara and eyeliner on. I always did my makeup like this, so I was pretty good at it, hint it was fine that I was rushing. I grabbed my favorite ripped jeans and threw them on, along with my favorite peach cropped top, with a jean jacket to keep me from getting cold. After slipping on my converse, I grabbed my phone and wallet off my dresser and slowly snuck downstairs, out of the house. I sprinted over to Ronnie's and knocked on the door.
