Markus's POV
I slumped away from my mate, following sadly behind Sean, who knit his brow together. "Come on, Alpha. We stole him away from his old life - his whole world has been completely changed. I'd be surprised if he wasn't angry."
Sean waiting for an answer, and I smiled, patting his shoulder. "I guess you're right, but... It's hard to see the one you love glare at you, you know?"
He nodded, giving me a reassuring smile. "Well, just give him some space. He'll come around, I'm sure."
With that reassurement, I followed Sean to the training hall.
---
About an hour later, the I collapsed to the floor, panting heavily as many of the pack warriors around me rested or continued training. Sean leaned over me with a bottle of water, helping me up. "Thanks."
"No problem." He watched me gulp down the water, resting his chin on his hand. "So... What's it like having a mate?"
I smiled, thinking of Quentin. "Amazing. They seem to fit you perfectly, as if they were made for you. You want to be by their side all the time."
Sean rolled his eyes, chuckling. "Rub it in, why don't you?"
Blushing, I scratched at my neck. "Sorry."
He shook his head. "No, I figured you needed the cheering up." His hand went to my shoulder, giving me a reassuring pat. "Come on, we have a meeting soon. You'd better get cleaned up, and we'll get to it."
Nodding, I smiled at Sean. "Thanks."

The other Alpha stood by the table in front of me in the meeting room, his posture not at all what I'd expect from an Alpha. He seemed very laid back, his hands shoved into his pockets as he looked around. If it weren't for his dominant scent, even I would have mistaken him for a Beta, or even a human. He had short black hair, and his eyes were a deep green. Sitting at the table next to the Alpha was another man. This man had longer light brown hair, and soft green eyes. His posture somewhat more recognizable as someone with power. His Beta, maybe?
"Alpha Markus, I assume?" I nodded, and the Alpha stepped forward, offering his hand. "I am Alpha Jordan."
I took his hand in a firm shake before we stepped apart. The man at the table began to stand as well, and Alpha Jordan was at his side immediately, helping the man who struggled to rise. It was only after he stood, that I finally noticed the round bump of his stomach as he walked towards me. The man smiled, holding out his hand as well. "I'm the Luna. You can call me Jamie."
I stared at his bump, only noticing his hand after a moment, quickly grabbing it in an awkward handshake. "Sorry..."
He laughed. "It's fine. I get strange looks all the time. It's weird, right?"
Alpha Jordan gave me a death glare, and I shook my head. "Not at all. My mate is male as well." This seemed to startle them both, but it didn't seem to shock them; they seemed surprised about me having a male mate, but not that someone else besides them had a male mate. Coughing, I looked away. "Anyway, let's get started?"
They shared a glance before nodding. "Yes, let's."
We all sat down around the table, and Jamie spoke. "We're getting nervous about the rogues. We live in a pack in the human world, so if they came to attack us, they might harm the humans as well. That's not something we could live with."
Jordan looked down at Jamie's stomach, muttering under his breath. "The humans aren't the only reason we're worried about the rogues..."
Jamie didn't seem to hear what he said, and continued his speech. I watched the pair as they sat, pressed up next to each other. It was obvious that Jamie is an Omega, but he definitely carries himself well, and fits the role of Luna. I wonder... I wonder if I could be like that with Quentin. My mind wandered off on the thought, imagining us working together for the pack. Sighing, I shook my head. He wouldn't do that. He doesn't even want to be a part of the pack, much less a leader of it. Still, I would love to see him as Luna, caring for the people of the pack, and maybe even... caring for our pups? I blushed.
"Alpha?"
I glanced up at Sean, who frowned at me. "It's... Time to go."
Alpha Jordan stood by the door, his hand around his Luna's waist. Jamie watched me for a moment, then pulled out of Alpha Jordan's grasp, causing the other male to whine. Jamie pushed his head towards me, causing Alpha Jordan to sigh. Jamie smiled victoriously and marched over to me, grabbing my arm. "Come with me." He led me away, out of the meeting room, back down the hall to my office.
A/N: Not sure if I actually described what Jamie and Jordan looked like in 'One Night Stand With My Mate.' If I did, please let me know and I'll make changes. Thanks for reading!
