Quentin's POV
Hanging out. Hanging out... That's all we're doing. Just... Hanging out. I rushed back upstairs, my hand running through my hair, remembering how Markus had touched my head. After our... Kiss... I noticed that Markus had slowly begun to try and touch me more and more. But, strangely enough, I... Didn't mind. In fact, I... Liked it?
"Wow. You look nice, Luna."
I jumped, turning around and growling, my fangs showing. Sean stepped back. "Sorry, I... I wanted to talk to you."
I frowned. "What for?"
Sean looked me over. "I heard you're going out with Markus tonight?"
"We're just... hanging out."
Sean raised brow. "You know, I want to give you a heads up. Markus really wants this to be a date."
I swallowed. That's what I figured. I looked away, but Sean continued. "And I know you might be nervous, but... Don't hurt him, okay? He's not just my Alpha, you know... He's my friend. And he's ecstatic about having a mate. I don't want to pressure you or anything, just... " Sean rubbed the back of his neck, looking down.
I got what he was saying. Markus was his friend, and he didn't want to see him getting hurt. Especially not by the person he's been searching for his whole life. I blushed at that. "I... I won't hurt him."
Sean smiled. "Thank you. And, you may think he's being pushy about this whole thing, but he's not. He's been taking it as slow as he can for you. And, don't hate him for taking you here. He's waited his whole life for you."
Blushing harder, I turned away. "Is that everything?"
"Yes. Thanks for listening, Lu- Quentin." Sean corrected himself, shutting the door behind him. When he was gone, I sighed. I knew that. All of it. I'd tried to ignore it, but I had to admit that, mates or not, I was drawn to Markus. I liked being wrapped up in his arms, smelling his sweet scent. His smile, his eyes, his hair... I shook my head. I was acting like a lovesick girl. I'd gone out with others before this, but they were usually Vampires like I was. Cold, heartless, uncaring. This was so much different. Markus actually cared for me. He openly admitted that he loved me.
And I like it.
The revelation made my head spin, and I sat down on the bed. I liked being loved. It was something I'd never had before, and I never wanted it to end. I could see why Kyran was so quick to choose Felan over me. Having a mate was amazing. Kyran... What's he doing now? I'd spent so much time hating him lately, I never really thought to try and contact him. I pouted. Did I really want to see him? He's the one who got me into this in the first place. Then again, if he hadn't, I wouldn't have met Markus. Sighing, I opened the door and headed downstairs. I'll find Markus and ask him to invite Kyran over sometime.
But, when I got downstairs, I didn't have to. Markus was at the table in the kitchen, pouting. Sean leaned against the table. "What's wrong with Markus?" I looked at Sean.
Sean turned to the kitchen and I followed his gaze, freezing. Kyran stood in the center of the kitchen, Felan at his side. Felan smiled, and Kyran nodded. "Hello, Quentin."
A/N: Hey guys! Sorry for the long wait on the update, but I hope you enjoyed. However, from the 17-25 I will be away on a trip, so I probably won't update between now and then either.
