Chapter 12: The Puppy

I ran down the street with Bea chasing after me. "So why outta everyone did you pick me to go with you?" She asked as she caught up. I slowed down and put my hands behind my back. "Cause for parties you're that nerdie girl that plans it, so you're perfect for the job!" I joke as she scrowls. I giggle as we walk past this old lady and her dog, when all of a sudden the dog crashes into me and Bea. CRASH! I yelp and fall flat on my behind as Bea catches herself before she ended up like me. I narrowed my eyes as I look at who caused this, which instead I'm caught face to face with shiny brown puppy dog eyes. I un- narrow my eyes and stare in awe. "BARK!" The dog barks at me. Bea brushed herself off and helps me up. "Lady next time you should be more careful with your dog." Bea politely told the old lady. I was too busy staring at this unique corgi to notice until the old lady picks him up. The corgi whimpers and stares at me with huge eyes. The old lady started to pet the dog and she just mumbled, "Stupid mutt you're lucky other people are around." I looked at Bea then back at the corgi as he was being carried away. "We need to save him! That poor puppy hates her!" I shout at Bea which totally caught her off guard since I'm not the kind to steal. Bea replied, "Kat...that's someone's dog though..." I had to think of something quick to say to change her mind. "Goldie hates dogs." I smiled as she narrowed her eyes. "FINE LET'S GET THAT LITTLE SHIT!" Bea finally agreed. I bounced around in joy.

"So why are we wearing these black outfits?" I ask confused as I put the ski mask on. Bea yelled, "I AIN'T GOING TO JAIL GIRL!" I giggled. We poke our heads outta the bush we're hiding in to see that mean old lady yelling and trying to hit that poor puppy. "Ngh...I hate people like her..." I whispered to Bea. Bea nodded and poked me. "This is your cue, go distract her while I grab the dog." I nod at Bea knowing exactly how to distract her. I jumped outta the bush and ran towards the old lady. "Hello wat is that on your face?" I ask. The old lady looked at me in confusion. "IT IS PAIN!" I punched the old lady in the face waiting for the haters to run right in. Bea runs up. "KAT!!!" I smiled at her as I picked up the corgi. "Mission accomplish!" I shouted with stars in my eyes. Bea rolled her eyes as the corgi starts licking my face and giving me love. I giggled and hugged the corgi. "Ima gonna name you Corgi." I told Corgi. Bea gives me this 'wtf' look but instead ignores it. "Let's go get the party stuff now, geez..." Bea said as I followed her with Corgi in my arms. "Well at least we had some quality time together." I said and grinned again. Bea just rolled her eyes and slightly smiled. "You're an idiot you know that right?" I laugh at her smart remark and soon she joins in the laughter as we walk down the sidewalk.
