There was a time that I became lost. I asked too many questions, I started to overthink things.
Why was I born? What is my purpose? What am I supposed to do with this life that was given to me? Why did he make me?
I got lost.
“Lord God,” I said in my prayers, “I pray that you would be able to answer my questions, I’m lost”
Saturday of the same week, I went to church, we serve the mass during Saturday afternoon. I was part of the choir, to serve the Lord, not the church.
Usually, I don’t listen to the priest’s homily, because sometimes they talk about issues of the world. I mean who cares about selfie? One priest said that it was a sign of selfishness. You see my point as to why I don’t listen SOMETIMES? It’s their opinion. Some just criticize others. what i want hear from them are lessons.. lessons in life that we could think of and do..
When I was a kid, I thought homily was supposed to be a message from God through the priest. Isn’t that what the priest are for? To send the message of God to us?
But that Saturday, the priest caught my attention, my questions were answered. God did answer them.
The priest said:
We may not know what are our purpose is, but God, will guide us to it. We might not know now, but he will guide us to the right path, to the gates.
That part stuck to my brain. We may not know what our purpose is for now, but someday we’ll know why. He will guide us like a shepherd to the right path. He will never leave us alone, he will always be there.
I realized that:
Seek, and you shall find.
Knock and he shall answer.
Ask and He shall reply.
God is just waiting for us to communicate with him. He was always there, just waiting for us to come to him.
NEVER let go of the faith you had with Him. I once did and I regret it. Hopefully you don't loose your faith. Think about the things he did for you, the family he gave you, the home he gave you, the life he has given to you.
