Chapter 6

I was still in shock as we walked around the corner to see the little tapas bar Joe was taking me to. It was one of those places that you would only go there if you knew it was there, you know what I mean. We entered the little restaurant and we had a little booth that he reserved.

I placed my roses on the bench next to me and we ordered some drinks as we looked at the menu. There were somany good things that I didn't know what to pick. We decided on some patatas bravas, calamari, tortilla, fried garlic mushrooms and some fried prawns, Joe also got some spicy thing but I don't really like spicy things so I didn't have any of that.

We had finished everything and we were talking about stupid stuff as someone sat down across the table form me and Joe (we were sitting on the same side). I looked up to see none other than Dynamo, for the second time in one night.

"Hey Joe and Haley!" He exclaimed.

"Hey bro." Joe said back.

I snapped out of my thoughts. "Wait, do you guys know each other or something because Joe didnt even tell you his name and somehow you still knew him?"

"Yeah, well Joe and I, we're quite good friends," Dynamo started, "and he rung me up, saying that he was taking a, in quote, 'very pretty girl' out on a date and that she loved magic. So, he asked if I could do a little performance for her. And that 'very pretty girl' is obviously you."

I was shocked that Joe did all of this, "Wait," I faced Joe, "you did all this for me?"

"Of course, I thought that you were special so I thought that you deserved a special date." he said, making me blush.

"Aw, thank you." I looked into his bright blue eyes as he started to lean in.

"Well," Dynamo said suddenly, making both of us jump, "I will leave you two, I hope you have a great rest of your date." He then smiled at us and left the little restauranut.

Joe and I left a little while later, well we were baisically kicked out as they were closing down for the night as it was midnight.

We walked back to the tube station, holding hads as we went, and jumped onto an almost-empty train. For the whole way back we chatted even more about random things.

Unfortunately the night was drawing to a close as Joe guided me along my building's corridor and back to my flat. We both looked sad as we reached my door.

"I really enjoyed tonight Joe, thank you." I smiled at him.

"Me too, I hope that I can take you out on another date sometime?" Joe replied hopefully.

"Of course you can, well bye I'll text you tomorrow."

"Yeah, bye Haley." He kissed my cheek and then turned around and walked down the corridor.

My immense happiness could be shattered in exactly 0.3 seconds by my brother, and it was.

I unlocked and opened the door only to see my brother standing there, waiting for me. I walked past him, closing the door behind me, and made my way to my room.

"What do you think your doing, coming home this late? It's twelve fifty-two." Brett said angrily to me. "A.M!"

"Well, I was coming home from the best date I've ever had and i was feeling very happy. But that all ended because my annoying brother is being a knob." i said calmly back to him.

"Fine, you better not be late next time otherwise I will whoop his young, dumb arse." Brett said as he walked out of the room.

"You do know that he's older than you, right?" Brett stopped in his tracks.

"What? Oh so you're going round with older guys now, how old even is he?" he demanded.

"So you know that you turned 26 last month in December right, so Joe turned 26 in September so it's really not bad at all, Brett."

"Ugh, I'm leaving, we can carry this on in the morning." and with that, Brett stormed back to his room.

I can't believe him sometimes, but I decided to go to bed because I was really tired.
