I didn't talk to Clyde after that night.  I didn't talk to anyone.  I was too scared.  They all came up with a reputation for me, whether it was true or not, but I'm sure for them, it seemed pretty true.  It was time for school to start.  I went three weeks hiding from the town.  I couldn't show my face.  They all had to know, but I couldn't hide it any longer as I got into the car and made my was to the high school.

I walked in and met the principle.  He introduced to the counselor who showed me around the building.  Then, I was shown to the gym where they were having an assembly.  I made my way in there and sat quietly in the corner next to Mr. Mackey as he mumbled different things to me while ending every sentence with 'M'kay'.  It was driving me nuts.  We were finally dismissed, and I was walking to my first class when I saw him in the hall.

My heart had dropped.  I couldn't move.  Clyde stood in the hall talking to his friends Token, Tweek, and Craig.

Oh god, what do I do?

I walked by with my head down, trying to not make direct eye contact, but it did no good.  Clyde made his way over to me regardless.

"Hey (Y/N), I was hoping I'd get to see you," he smiled.

I put on a fake smile, "Oh hi Clyde."

"So hey I was thinking-"

"Look, I'd love to stay and chat, but I really got to get to class," I lied, looking past him.

He frowned, "Oh, well where you going?"

"Um, where ever you aren't," I let out a laugh and start to walk away.

"Hey, everything okay?  Like between me and you?" He asked.

"Oh yeah...why wouldn't they be?" I laughed again.

"Okay, well you think we could hang out later?" he asked.

"Yeah we'll see," I smiled.

He smiled back as I continued to make my way down the hall.

Oh fuck that was awkward.
