Tuesday

Luke's head was pounding when his alarm woke him up, a hammer banging in the side of his brain as he groaned from the feeling."Fuck." With his eyes still closed, he mindlessly reached over to the side table and dismissed his alarm as he tried to find the Ibuprofen he always kept there. He finally found the bottle, opening it and pouring a random amount into his hands. He popped them into his mouth and dry swallowed five.

The blond finally found the strength to sit up, rubbing his eyes as he opened them. He winced when a pang of hunger shot through his stomach. Luke sighed, knowing he'd have to eat. There was nothing healthy to eat though. All Jeremy bought was junk. He decided he could wait until after class and maybe he'd get lunch with Michael. One part of him was excited while the other was dreading it severely.

Luke yawned, swinging his legs over the side of the bed. He decided that he could fit in a shower if he hurried since he passed out before he could do it last night. It took him about another ten minutes to drag himself out of bed and find clothes to wear which was just a pair of plain black joggers and a white t-shirt.

Luke admittingly had sensory issues when it came to heat. Once when he was younger, his mother came into the bathroom because she smelt something burning. The boy had burns on his back from the steaming shower water. Jeremy usually helped him with the water so he wouldn't burn himself again, but Luke didn't want to get him up for obvious reasons.

The blond turned the knob on the shower, estimating the correct temperature. If it was too hot, he wouldn't know and he didn't feel like getting burns up his back right now. He pushed the handle to the general area that Jeremy does and stripped his slightly sweaty clothes off.

The hot water hit his back and he sighed in content, his eyes closing. The shower was always a happy place for Luke. It was a relaxing environment, with all the soap smells and the comforting warmth and his music he usually played.

Luke knew he couldn't take his time, considering he had a class to get to. They might get their test grades back today and the blond had to he sure he was there for Michael. He had always been hard on himself with grades and it didn't help that his parents put loads of pressure on him as well.

Michael and Luke had bonded instantly on the first day of freshman year when they were dormed together. They did have arguements considering their relationship was different at the time but Michael was his best friend and Luke wouldn't trade their past or his friendship for the world.

"Dude, I'm going to fail at this project." Michael whined loudly, hiding his face in his hands as he leaned on the small table they were sitting at.

After class, the two boys had gone to a diner called The Fried Alphabet that was down the street. It was pretty rundown and not very popular but the two loved it and they went at least once a week. They always sat in the back booth and knew a few of the waiters and waitresses by name.
