An hour passed after his 9am class had ended and Luke was in his empty apartment, architecture books and homework in front of him. He was trying not to stress about one question about the geometry of a building. The question seemed simple enough but the poor boys brain was fried. After hours of studying with Michael and bringing him down from the brink of multiple mental breakdowns the day before, he really didn't want to bother with it anymore.
Bling!
Luke picked up his phone, seeing that Calum had replied to his Snapchat story. It was a picture of his books and homework with the caption "please end me". May have been a bit dramatic, but who doesn't feel like that when they're as stressed as he is?
Calum :) : this is very illegal.
Luke giggled at the text, replying back. He was happy to get a bit of a distraction from the college work. The more he thought about it, the more he realized he was a distraction for a lot more than school.
Luke: u r m u m
Calum :) : I can smell your maturity from bere.
Luke: *here
Calum :) : defeated once again.
Luke laughed a bit at the message, his small smile dropping and his teeth biting down on his bottom lip. He didn't know why he felt so weird about how Calum made him laugh. Michael made him laugh, and so did Jeremy. Less now than before for obvious reasons. He decided that he was over thinking it and should just be happy that he was making a new friend. He loved being around Calum. The man always seemed to cheer him up with his presence.
Calum :) : wanna call?
Luke smiled and instead of answering his text, he went to his contacts and pressed the phone button, ringing the other male. As the familiar ringing chimed in his ear, he reached forward and stacked his books, deciding to give brain a break.
"Hello, lo- Luke. Hello Luke."
Luke hummed when hearing his voice, raising an eyebrow to himself when hearing the small stutter. He decided to not say anything about it. "Well hello to you too, loser." He teased, letting out a sigh and flopping back onto his bed. "How are you? As stressed as me? The answer is no because that's literally impossible." He half joked, letting out a small laugh.
Calum chuckled in amusement from the other side, "I doubt it. You sound stressed. Poor thing." He teased him back, making Luke scoff from the other line.
"Don't you "poor baby" me. This "poor baby" won't hesitate to rip your dick off."
"Well damn, baby. Didn't know you had a violent side."
Luke rose an eyebrow when hearing his words, "baby?" He mumbled questioning.
Calum made a sound from the other line that basically sounded like a keyboard smash coming to life. "I DIDN'T mean to call you that, lets move on."
