just like he said, he disappeared into the stars and always protected his beloved sister. the one he always protected from anything, whether being called a murderer, a dumb mexican, or being a horrible sister.
she was staring out my window, looking up at the stars.
"ponderous night isn't it?" i remarked to her as she slowly nodded.
i went towards her and placed my arms on hers.
"which one is his star?"
she pointed up at one that was close to the north star but not quite.
"see the third star to the right of the north star? that one has a special light to me. one that nobody can see. to you it looks like an ordinary full star, right?" she questioned and i slowly nodded.
"that star is his star. he is protecting me from there. just like he always did." she sighed and stepped away from the window, grabbing her laptop and clicking on a whole bunch of tabs before pulling out five bills that were hundreds and looked up to me.
"cousin, can i use your credit card? i promise i'll give you this money it's the same amount i'm going to donate.
i giggled. "don't hesitate to ask."
i handed her the credit card as her quick fingers went to a donate section. she handed me the five hundred dollars and i was shocked to see that she was about to donate five hundred dollars to a foundation.
she sighed and was nervous to press the confirm button.
"where's the money going to?" i asked curiously and she smiled weakly.
"the leukemia foundation. for him."
she pressed the button and sighed happily.
