I felt relieved to see the girl okay. She had fought pretty hard but she seemed a little old for a newcomer to camp. She looked between fifteen and seventeen, not to mention pretty hot too. Her hair fell beautifully down her shoulders and when she was killing the kindly ones, it made her look all the better. When I had seen her come running and being confronted by the furies I had to help her. It took a great deal of cleaning to make the blade look shiny again after getting some fury dirt and blood on it but it was worth it. After about two days now, I still went to the infirmary to check on her. All the guys I hung out with laughed at me but I could tell this girl wasn't what they thought she was. Some said she had to be a daughter of Hadies or why were the kindly ones after her? No, she seemed to be a forbidden diamond in the sapphire mine. It was approaching day three and finally her eyes fluttered open. I got the suprise of my life, a burst of silver was her eye color. "Where am I? Who are you? Were they real?" She hit me with a barrage of questions. "Your in the infermary, I am Xander, and yes the kindly ones were real." I answered her. When she saw who she was talking to she shut up pretty quick. Why do I have to have that effect on girls? Honestly. "Um....hello?" I tried to snap her out of it, although I did enjoy her looking at me the way she did. "Oh sorry." She looked away, her face turning a soft crimison. Wow, she looked gorgeous when she blushed. I had to mentally slap myself to talk to her. "I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name....." I tried being polite. "Ebony, my name is Ebony." She answered still looking at the ground. I looked over and saw Felix come running. My protecter seemed to know how to annoy me to the greatest power. "XAAAANDER" He bleated to me. "Chiron wants to speak with you!" He called to me. "I uh gotta go." I looked at Ebony. "Wait! I didn't catch your name." She grabbed my wrist as I stood but soon let go after she realized her actions. "Xander." I smiled and went to follow Felix.
