Ed is seen laying in bed unconscious as Zoey sits beside him praying that he is alright, Brian walks in about to talk but catches himself from spilling the can of beans over on how long they think Ed has left.
Zoey not knowing Brian is in the room. "I don't believe in much snice everything I once believed in got taken away from us but please, Ed stay strong." She folds her hands as she begins to pray not a loud but with silences.
Brian slowly walks out so that she can have her time alone for what seems to be their last moments.
Ed slowly lifting his hand to her hand. "I'll a-always be here." He said softly before coughing.
Zoey smiled as she took his hand. "I'll be right back, hang on tight." She then put his hand on the bed they'd made inside of a cabin not far from the road.
Zoey heads out of the room and went to Leon. "Can you keep an eye on Ed for me while I go and find food?" She asked with a little hint of being worried.
"Sure." Leon said as he headed to Ed's room.
Zoey made her way to the front of the building where she retrieves her rifle which was hanging on a coat rack attache on the door, Zoey then opens the door and heads into the wild. The weather outside felt warm as the sun occasionally made its way through the clouds every once in awhile leaving some cool breeze at the same time. The surface of the area had huge chunks of lands as if the templates moved around making some roads higher as the others had a drop snice the crust had broken or moved due to lack of infrastructure maintenance. Even with the huge drops that occur nature made everything a one time see knowing every step could be your last. Tall trees covered the area with a small stream of water which lead to the river about two miles out where the lands may be better and more flat then what looked like a full blown crisis. Zoey moved her rifle onto her back and secured it so that it won't fall as she started to walk. She made her own kind of bullets out of burk which she would use to stun someone but never had she had to use them nor does she know if it would even work. She followed the road that lead to a small cliff where she jumped down twice as it had another cliff just a few feet away from her. She began to look around for anything that could be useful weather it be metal, wood or equipment from an old car but found nothing but wood, wildlife also moved swiftly around her as they gently studied her from a distant making sure they don't get to close to what they think is danger. Zoey slowly moved behind a tree where there she grabbed her rifle and begun to load it with one bullet, she then leaned beside the tree only exposing her right leg, arm and head keeping the rest safe and even used the side of the tree to keep her accuracy on point. She took a deep breath, aimed at the deer and shot its neck where it dropped on the spot.
"All I got to do is cut it open, take the meat and bring it back." She said as she fixed her rifle to her back and slowly walked over to the deer.
As she stood the the deer a sharp stick was hanging from a tree nearby, Zoey grabs the stick and sits on her knees by the deer. She then begins to cut open the deer nearly breaking the stick a few times and retrieves the meat.
She tosses the stick. "Got to wash the blood off." She said sounding all disgusted.
She walked over to the nearby water and dipped her hands in it to wash them. Shouting can be heard in the distances of what seems like a small group of men and women roaming Zoey gathers everything and hides behind a huge rock.
"The shot was fired around here." A female military personnel responded. "Fan out." She order to which everyone obeyed.
"Jenny and Evan go that way, me and Daniel will go to that edge over there." She pointed at the way Zoey made her way down.
