Sydney's POV
"Are you all ready?" Mom yelled through the house. I looked in the mirror one more time, then grabbed my phone, and headed downstairs. I wore a bright pink tank top with white shorts. My long blonde hair was straightened. Today is Easter. My family is in a panic to get to my aunts house to celebrate on time, or maybe even early. But with the bickering between my parents, and running around of my little brother, that obviously wasn't going to happen. After an expected wait in the living room, we got in the car and drove off. It was only five minutes away from my house, yet my parents still managed to constantly argue the whole five minutes about who knows what. My little brother really didn't help in the situation by throwing his empty candy wrappers all over the back seat. After what seemed like hours, we pulled into their driveway. I immediately got out of the car and went to my cousin Andrew who was walking from the backyard with another guy following him.
"Hey Sydney, this Is my new neighbor Jacob. I've actually known him for about five years now, but he just moved here. He's gonna go to our school." Andrew explained.
"Oh cool. Hi my name is Sydney, I'm his cousin, nice to meet you." We shook hands.
"Kids!" We new that was our call, so we rushed inside.
"Alright everybody, each egg has candy in it. The eggs are hidden outside the house, and in the barn. Whoever finds the most, wins even more candy. Ready, set, GO!" Everyone quickly made their way outside to start looking.
I went straight to the barn. Not many people would look in there. I looked around and remembered that they have a ladder going up. I climbed up and immediately saw an egg on the built in shelf. I was feeling really hungry so I took the candy out and ate it. I started going down the ladder, then my eye caught a link object in the stack of hay, an egg. I reached towards it, but then my foot slipped and I started to fall. But two strong arms wrapped around me. I opened my eyes and Jacob is laughing quietly and looking at you.
"Thank you so, so much. I literally would've died if you weren't there." You said as he set you down.
"No problem. Here's the egg by the way." He handed the egg to me.
"Let's go find some more eggs, shall we?" He laughed.
"We shall."

We made conversation until we had to eat. When we were finished, we all just had our own conversations.
"I'll help you out at school tomorrow. Hopefully we have at least one class together." I said to Jacob.
"Yeah, hopefully! Since it's so late in the year. I'll definitely have some catching up to do." I nodded.
"Mommmmm... I want to go home!" I heard my little brother whine.
"Alright thanks for having us! Justin is getting tired so I guess we'll get going!" Mom said.
"Well I guess I'll be seeing you bright and early tomorrow morning!" We both laughed.
"See you tomorrow Sydney." I went to step away, but he pulled me in for a hug. My family was at the door staring at me. I then realised I've been hugging him for a while now so i let go and walked out the door.
